Regarding the one project at a time, shhhh, I am doing two at the mo. That is so much better than normal! Problem is my mind is flying with projects I can do afterwards, but I am definitely not buying any materials. Definitely.

I figure buying too many books is a pretty small sin.

Morning. Bit headachy - which is just the result of bad sleep, general stressing and 'phones ringing all the time (you wouldn't be happy LW).

Mr Dog has just moved my organisation for today back a tad by eating half a (large) lamb's liver cake (((sigh))) He's happy and burping, and I now need to add a new "cake" to my list for today.

Talking of which I DO actually have a list for today - best off to deal with it. :)

    Morning all

I've been up since 7am (woke up at quarter to 7), the earliest this week. Cat fed, made cuppa x2 and tried my new halogen oven with a frozen apricot brioche. Then put some assorted pastries in for the rest of the family - croissants etc. It seems to be working, so will have a go at a chicken for tea.

    List for today:
    iron stuff for tomorrow
    laundry
    HW with DS2
    school work
    cook tea
    HHC somewhere
    sort bags (DS2's and mine)
budget (if time, NOT an excuse to avoid school work!)

Silver - my house is like that, so we can dot-to-dot together.

Have a good Sunday, everyone. x

Ditto but my dots have a habit of rubbing out :rotfl::rotfl: Why else do you think I invented the dot2dot system ;)

We're off to Sunday School shortly but dot2dotting and ebaying will recommence on our return unless I decide to call in and catch up with my friends for a bit

    Morning late start here.

About 4am there was a power cut in the local area, which woke OH up as next door's burglar alarm was going off, so OH is wandering around the house at 4am, (why goodness only knows) comes back to bed to tell me again, there is no power..............what does he want power for at 4am?? and we go back to sleep till the cat gets me up at about 7.30 am (later for him as well) to feed him.

So now I am dressed, toast eaten, ironing board etc at the ready.

    Back later.

    Hugs all round.

If I have missed any birthdays etc, I'm sorry. xxx

When the children need to move into the wendy house because there is no more room in the house :rotfl:. I may get hutches built for them. We have 7 very large, very full bookcases, a massive box for library books, massive box full of journals under our bed, 3 massive boxes of comics in kids bedrooms, a 2 draw filing cabinet in under-the-stairs-cupboard full of photocopied articles and journals. Oh and piles of books on top of bookcases.

He has just bought a K1ndle for his 40th.:D

ETA just remembered the cookery books in the kitchen. And the 2 cardboard boxes full under computer desk. And the pile on top of the computer desk.
  • Morning all.

Very wet in Rossendale ! Maybe it will brighten up later -we can only hope.

Have spent this morning throwing out old magazines. Its taking ages as I have to read each one first to check there is nothing in it I want to keep!

Going to throw some bits in slow cooker for tea and see what we end up with.:rotfl:

I also keep a sort of spending diary and try to limit spending. Only usually have swimming £4 and bus fares £8.80 each week so not bad. Make own lunch so think I do quite well .Now hubby is a different story he just spends and refuses all my effort to save money. Good job I cook the books then !!!

    Have a good day all.

Partridges in sc, bed stripped and washing up put away - but I've made more. Cake prep done. Will do washing up, then get the cake in before I do anything else. Sun is shiny but I MUST do the inside stuff first as I've invited people over.
  • Morning lovelies
Its grey and overcast here this morning.

Had my last lie in today and woke up at 9. Kids back from KH's today but I dont know what time they are getting back here. Im at work at 3 so it better be before then! Going to have a quick potter round and make a shepherds pie for the kids tea and wait for my MrT delivery. Ive got no washing but im sure I will have several loads once the kids are home which will lead to a mountain of ironing grrrrrrrrrrrrr i hate ironing but it can wait till tomorrow.

Off to declutter a coffee and feed the dog.

    Hugs, spoons, sticks to all

  • Hazy sunshine here, but there was a frost this morning so not sure about venturing into garden, much as I would like to.
