    My best...
Fairy Non-Bio Gel (580ml approx) bottles were on offer - £3 (normally about £4.50 I think)
As we use this for our daughters clothes, we ordered 3. They were out of stock, so subbed for 3 x the large bottles (approx 750ml) usually around £7.50/£8

    Very happy.

Worst - nothing awful - probably when we ordered Finest Fish Cakes and got Value - they went straight back!

Oh, and the Jif lemon juice vs Cif Cleaner I can kind of understand, as Cif used to be called Jif, so if they just saw 'Jif' & 'lemon', that may have though cif was the right sub.

A couple of years ago I ordered a small frozen turkey crown it was substituted by a large fresh free range turkey crown. Very happy about that one, thanks Asda :)

The packer who subbed Twix for tampons was probably a very understanding woman who knew we all need chocolate at certain times...

When Waitrose first started home deliveries in my area they left me an extra bag of someone else's frozen stuff. I phoned to let them know and they told me to keep it, plus they sent the driver round with a free bottle of wine by way of apology for my "inconvenience" :rotfl:

I order 2 100g packs of Tesco value tortilla chips (25p each) and received a large 250g bag of Doritos salted tortilla chips (£1.48), which was nice. I always appreciate subs.

I do remember one time we weren't given any subs at all and 2 items, both the main ingredients for 2 separate meals, weren't available and nothing was replaced.

That was a bit annoying because we were then down two meals for the week.

When it was called Jif cleaner, my mum sent my dad to get some jif lemon for pancake day and came back with the jif cleaner!! Who needs Asda/Tesco messing things up when your partner can do it for you :p

Last week I got Chicken Korma and Rice instead of chunky chips and basil instead of bay leaves. I assume they just pick the same start letter in the alphabet.

I ordered some Rhubarab once - think it was Asda. The packer had a bit of a think and substituted with both a rhubarb crumble and a rhubarb pie. As I was intending to make crumble, this was a result!

And if you wanted stewed rhubarb you could have just scrapped the inside of the pie and crumble out! ;)
