My friend did her xmas shop online and the pork she ordered was substituted with a bottle of brandy - all very nice but didn't feed the family on boxing day...

Best one my friend received last week was a drum of Bisto Cheese sauce powder instead of Cathedral City.

She was planning to make cheese toasties. Bisto cheese sauce somehow doesn't work.

I have only ordered from Sainsbury's once (normally have Tesco). I asked for a pack of casserole chicken pieces (2 kg in weight- thighs, legs, wings etc) to cover two or three meals. They sent me a 250g pack of chicken breast strips and a packet of chicken casserole mix that cost about £1.50 more and wouldn't cover one meal!.
Returned to driver and she couldn't stop laughing. She told me the best she heard was when a woman ordered bounty kitchen roll and got a back of five bounty chocolate bars!

Some others I have heard: The original product what they ordered is the latter
. Corn Flakes for Quorn mince
. Wooden floor wipes for baby wipes
. 6 pack of Creme Eggs for 6 hen eggs
. Chicken livers for Liver and Bacon ready meal

Some crazy substitutions that happened at work:

A chicken was picked instead of a turkey just before christmas yet we were told to not sub turkeys if they weren't on teh shelf but to ask a team leader

A pregnancy test kit was subbed for some nappies

The first 3 are just plain stupid(well all 4 are stupid actually), Who would pick corn flakes for quorn mince, why not just pick another quorn product.

Surely there was another pack of baby wipes and same for the hen eggs.

I do try to pick the best sub i can eg a customer wanted diced chicken but was oos so i picked some chicken fillets that were on the same offer so teh customer got the offer eg 2 for £4 but not teh exact item they wanted
