What a great thread! It's had me chuckling away for a little while.
I'm almost tempted to take up online food shopping again just to see what odd things I might get, I do like shopping instore and finding bargains but it's often so busy unless you go late at night.
Hmmm, might do a little price comparing with Asda, Tescos and Sainsburys - they're all nearby. It's a shame that Morrisons don't have online shopping, I like a lot of their products.

This is such a good thread I thought I'd give it a bump to try and revive it.
Did I mention the Deep Pan Meat Feast which was substituted for a Weight Watchers Ham and Pineapple?

    Dear Asda,

Thank you for the substitution of a Twix bar instead of my ordered Tampax.
I did try it but unfortunately it was not absorbent enough .

Can I return it for a full refund ?

Absolutely not - it was a special offer - for a limited period only!

    Oh dear....hat......coat.......gone"

    Sorry.
  • Asda were meant to deliver my shopping but I had been taken ill and was in hospital. I phoned customer services who assured me the delivery time had been changed to when I would be back at home. This didn't happen so I had to rearrange the delivery. When the shopping came, it all came doubled, ie 1 bottle of milk ordered received 2 ect. I signed for shopping totalling £29 and only got charged this. I did tell the delivery driver that he had bought double what I had ordered but he said that was just what he had been given to deliver and to just not say anything about it. So I now have £60 worth of shopping for £30 :D

    Oh I feel jealous! :)
Had a couple of substitutions from Waitrose, fairly spot on but all same price or cheaper (but got charged the cheaper price).
  • ...I wonder if another order was put on system and given to the pickers? Was the rearranged time another day or week? I'm sure they would have discarded the original delivery items if they had already had been picked....or maybe left them on the van...

Ooooh i'd love to find out if this is a little glitch with their system. :)

ooh I got an interesting substitution today. The 4 packs of Yahoo milkshakes (200ml) are on offer, ds loves them so for treat for him I got 2 packs. I ordered strawberry and banana. The delivery driver handed me the list and pointed out that I had a couple of substitutions.

They had substituted Banana Yahoo 4 pack 200ml with Strawberry Yahoo 4 pack 200ml and Strawberry Yahoo 4 pack 200ml with Banana Yahoo 4 pack 200ml. The mind boggles lol
