Same as me as per my post above

I emailed Tesco about it yesterday and am awaiting the reply as to why half my shopping trolley was not compared. Will let you know when I do.

If there are size differences then it is cost per 100g or 100ml or per sheet etc that should be compared.

What happens if I buy from Tesco something that cost £1. On the same day Asda were selling for 60p. I should get 80p in vouchers. But if I submit my receipt say a week later, and Asda have increased their price to a £1 (the same as Tesco), do I still get my voucher? Is the comparison made at the date of the shop or the date of receipt submission in other words?

tried that and failed, asda is 2 for 3 pounds. tesco is bogoff, shame when i went they was no sel to say that. darn would have got them with the crunchy nut cornflakes if i had not got the chocolate as crunchy nut yesterday was 2.99 at tesco, asda £2

I don't know the answer - I would expect it to be done on the date that the purchase was made but I don't see how they would easily be able to do that even though the receipt date is needed when you input it. For safety's sake, submitting the recept straight away is probably the best option.

Yes, I THINK it will be on the data of purchase. If it isn't..., boo Tesco.

Another question that is also unanswered via the FAQ and T&Cs...If Tesco sell a product for £1 and Asda the same but BOGOF. Will Tesco give a voucher or will this be an exact price match with no voucher? Probably no voucher for this I think, but not 100%.

Yes, I noticed the next day after I posted that, that the prices had all changed. I think this is the best deal ever, if you are disciplined at keep checking the prices before going your shop.

yesterday i spent £51.59 on "selective shopping", i reckon i should be getting a voucher for £44.58 back.

Here's a list of "gold star" items TAKEN TODAY FROM TESCOS OWN PRICECHECKER WEBSITE (and not mysupermarket)
This therefore means that all items shown are definitely comparable.
(apologies that the writing is quite small)


note: Unless you are sure that there isn't a multibuy/bogof promotion on any particular item then i suggest restricting purchase to one of each at a time.

Reply now received regarding less than half my shop compared.

"Unfortunately we can only compare comparable items that Asda and Tesco sell. These would be branded items like Heinz or Kelloggs"

is the main gist. I've replied asking why McCain, Napolina, Kelloggs crunchy nut and loose grapes are not comparable to Asda but Tesco value kiwi fruit pack and Tesco own label pork and sweet onion pate are.

Again awaiting a reply... truly think that it is false advertising if less than half the shop is compared.
