has anyone heard back from Tescos yet
I put my details in yet and it said it could be 36 hours or could be sooner
but I don't like the idea of having to wait
much prefer it how Asda does it

I put my details in yesterday morning...still not heard anything from them. I have not tried the Asda one, but the tesco one did seem to be a bit of a faff....I thought it would show me there and then and list the items it was comparing!

Just had my most results back. Here's what was cheaper at Asda:
                                                        Tesco Asda
    1 x TESCO SPARKLING LEMONADE 2 LTR BTL £ 0.49 £ 0.48
    1 x CLOSED CUP MUSHROOMS 250G £ 0.89 £ 0.83
    2 x SILVER SPOON CAKECRAFT WHITE CHOC CHIP 100G £ 1.48 £ 1.00
    1 x TESCO GARDEN PEAS 1KG £ 1.54 £ 1.00
    1 x HARDYS STAMPS SHIRAZ CABERNET SAUVIGNON 75CL £ 6.99 £ 6.28

Since then Tesco have matched the price of the mushrooms to 83p, the chocolate to 50p/pack, the peas to £1. The wine is down to £4.99.

    So go big on lemonade!!

I thought people could post their results from Tesco Price Check, to show what's still cheaper at Asda, so MSE'ers can get double the difference.

All I got from mine was:
    1 x TESCO SPARKLING LEMONADE 2 LTR BTL £ 0.49 Asda Price £ 0.48

    I've been Money Tipped!
Don't bother wasting your time with this "price check"

I spent £120 in Tesco on Monday. I emailed through my receipt. Only £45.88 of my Tesco shop was compared to Asda

Some of the items that, according to Tesco, were n/a to compare to Asda price include:

Tesco cream crackers / napolina olive oil / McCain Homefries / Kelloggs Crunchy Nut Cornflakes / Grapes

No comparison in the slightest as the entire shop was not compared, less than half was - but my shopping was apparently £10.74 cheaper at Tesco!!!!

well having just got my results.....its a bit subjective to say the least....
it says tesco is cheaper....but I bought two loaves of hovis at half price as just about to be out of date. doesnt say that on the results though. if i had bought them at normal price, then asda would have been cheaper. and a creme egg came up as N/A. surely Asda sell creme eggs?

The "not from concentrate" fruit juices found in the chilled section.
1l of the apple juice is £1.60 in Tesco but £1.00 in Asda.
Hopefully there's something which could be profitable in there!

That's a favourite ploy I've noticed on price comparison sites. Often used with veg when they could easily compare price per kg, pack size is irrelevant.

It's simple - when you see a big price hike -do not buy.
Tesclos would rip your heart out if there was money in it for them.
I always check the price of anything I buy and people who can't see that tesclos is a rip need to go to that famous spectacle shop.

    Don't Tesco do spectacles?

    :)

When it comes to massive profits, every little helps.
