So at least I am not the only one to have lost out here: most of the things I normally buy have gone up in price! Not suprized.0

Double the difference = £1.78. So they are actually only 11p?
Sounds too good to be true.
No they'd still be £1.89 at Tesco compared to just a quid in Asda.
What you will get is a voucher to the value of £1.78 to spend on more overpriced goods at Tesco.
Which means you'll have to spend another 11p of your own if you want a second bag.
2 bags of Aero Bubbles @ Tesco: £2 (with a lot of faffing about, and would need to be bought separately in different trips)
2 bags of Aero Bubbles @ Asda: £2 (either separately or together)
Guess which option I'll be taking as I prefer the easy life "Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
I've just put in the details from a tesco till receipt, it doesn't tell you the result instantly though like the asda one. I have to wait for an e-mail from them when the results are ready! A little tedious to say the least!0

you know why they email you within 36hours........................................ so they can lower the prices so they don't have to pay you anything!!0
-
What's to prevent people from taking advantage of this?
Example:
Own Label Professional Roasting Pan 35x25cm costs £10.21 at Tesco and £5.00 at Asda. Tesco will give you double the difference (£10.42) so, assuming you shop at Tesco, which some folk do, you have a roasting pan for -£0.21.
So if I bought 476 roasting pans, I would get my weekly shop (£100) for free plus have £2380 worth of roasting pans. This would be great as they're always a !!!!!! to clean and I could dispose of them after a single use.
I think I may test the water by purchasing 5 pans at a cost of £51.05 and then gradually build up to 476.
Thanks

^ Love it!
Would they still do this if the item is on offer at Asda so therefore cheaper that way?0 -
has anyone heard back from Tescos yet
I put my details in yet and it said it could be 36 hours or could be sooner
but I don't like the idea of having to wait
much prefer it how Asda does it0 -
Would it work with own label stuff though? After all, it's not going to be exactly the same.0

I find Tesco extremely expensive, especially when compared to manufacturer's recommended retail price and imagine Asda aren't far behind. The days of cheap consumer goods from the supermarkets have been and gone, they offer nothing beneficial today but convenience.0
