He is on solids.. 2 meals a day.
Have just phoned cri-sis.. she told me to try controlled crying again and gave me the number for the parent helpline.. so I phoned them who did not know what to advise and suggested I ring the nhs helpline?
was hoping for a bit more help than that, but nevermind lol * Mummy to my 2 gorgeous and amazing boys *0 -
Controlled crying never worked for mine, cos he used to get himself in such a state he'd throw up. Then I had no choice but to go in, and dd was no problem with sleeping. I know people tend to be for CC or against it.0

I would very tempted to ring NHS 24. You may just be lucky and get to see a paediatrician at the hospital. Especially if baby is crying down the phone while you are talking to them;)SingleMumOf2 wrote: »He is on solids.. 2 meals a day.

baby is at dads so for a very rare change.. there is no chance of him crying while I am on the phone lol. I do like the sound of the cranial thingy... but not sure I would be able to find the money. Still waiting for my DRO to go through. But I need something to work!* Mummy to my 2 gorgeous and amazing boys *0

Its not funny I know, really. Dads never seem to think CC is a good idea! They dont seem to have the same tolerance level for crying that women do. How does Dad cope with it, when baby is at his?:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
He says he copes fine.. but he normally does "all nighters" as he calls it. So he doesnt actually go to sleep..picks baby up as soon as he wakes. Which is fine. But once the kids are back he can catch up on sleep and have lie ins all week.. which I sometimes wish I could do, lol.
He is trying harder though recently to keep to my routines etc.* Mummy to my 2 gorgeous and amazing boys *0 -
I think maybe you have to say to him that the HV or doc has said you both have to be "tougher" with the controlled crying, and stick to it religiously, cos baby has to get into a routine;)SingleMumOf2 wrote: »He says he copes fine.. but he normally does "all nighters" as he calls it. I would suggest asking ex OH if he would stump up the cash, seeing as he is also having to take the load, and he is responsibility too.
If you have anything you can economise on, I would really try it.
I as an adult have had it done, and it has the most amazing effects.

If you look at my link it tells you about the soceity of cranial osteopaths so that you can check yours is qualified. It may be worth finding out if your PCT funds it.0

your baby is not getting into a routine if dad is picking him up everytime he wakes and your not, perhaps thats what baby is expecting you to do, so he cries?0
