I think I didnt put enough milk in because it was still powdery when it came out. Oh well I'll have to try another one at the weekend, maybe with proper measures instead of the old 'that looks about right' :rotfl:

Mushes up fine with icecream though :D I'll feed it to the rellies tomorrow and tell them its supposed to be like that.

    I did two thirds!

It does look like a large dish but it is only quite a thin cake with the fudgey sauce bit at the bottom so not too horrendous - four of us ate it quite easily for pudding! :D

Edit: and with all that fudge sauce, it didn't need cream (but I don't like cream anyway!!!)

There's a girl where I work who is ALWAYS cooking and baking - she's really good at it.

She bakes for her hubby and always brings bits and bobs into work for us all to sample.

Thing is, SHE doesn't eat ANY of it - she does it for the pure enjoyment of cooking / baking. (and of course, she's lovely and slim...)

I'm sure it's a ploy to make sure none of us ever get slimmer than she is - lol!

definately takes some of the fun out of cooking if you can't eat your efforts!:rotfl:

decided to cut recipe in half and use smaller dish to try tonight. Felt guilty when OH rang to say he would be late as he was going to the GYM  and now think that i should be less liberal with the puddings. :o

Yes, it's two thirds of a cup:) . Is there a way of writing fractions so that it's clear ?

Glad everyone likes it :T My family of 5 can demolish most of a whole pud at one sitting (the dish I use is roughly 9 by 13 inches may be a bit more or less, and it is 2 inches deep.)

I am in awe of the lady that can bake but not eat what she has made I find that impossible.

Jessicamb, I hope you have better luck with your next try.

just made it in the microwave. zapped it for 12 mins on medium high as it originally began to boil over on high.
just so delicious.....but very sweet, so able to stick to my diet by just needing a little bit...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...so could even be a dieters friendly pud!!!!!!!!

Made this last night for a dinner party with extra thick cream, and it was fabulous. Will definitely do this one again!
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.
