When should ebay auction for a car close?

??????
.
I meant the other bit of your post, as in "all the bidding happens in the last 5 mins"
Often thought the auctions should go on for a minute after the last bid after the auction end, if that makes sense.
With auction sniper anyone bidding conventionally doesn't have time to consider the latest bid and act before the sale snaps shut. Going for the 1st time, going fo.... etc..
But whether that would help sellers and ebay more than buyers??, probably would.
As a seller you do have to "offer" payment by paypal, but you don't have to "accept" it, although I did once get an item removed for offering a cash payment discount.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Back to the original question why not a 10 day listing covering 2 weekends, give buyers more chance to view? The last car I sold never made it to the end someone came and made a deal before the end.Nothing to see here, move along.0

And so you should have. It would not have been fair on those who want the protection that paypal offers. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
seller can choose with a car,,when i listed my fiesta only last week i could choose cash on collection NO paypalSealed pot challenger # 10

Must admit to putting 'cash on collection' when selling a motor on Ebay.
Don't forget though that the buyer can refuse to buy the car when he gets there,if it is not as described in the listing.˙ʇuıɹdllɐɯs ǝɥʇ pɐǝɹ sʎɐʍlɐ

Not exactly in the spirit of MSE that post:p, if someone wants to save a few quid by paying cash they can do but more importantly as Quentin hints at, you are putting yourself, as a seller, at a greater risk of the buyer backing out and getting their money refunded by some spurious means if you use paypal.
Can you think of any other situation, at a dealers, auction or anywhere where you could buy a car then have the money refunded by the financier without the seller ok ing it??
The answer's NOI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Ignore this.
Never accept paypal or offer it when selling a car!!!!
The seller has no protection whatsoever, but the buyer would get full paypal protection!
Unfortunately as Mikey said you cannot delete the paypal option in the sale. But you can refund the payment and insist on cash in a face to face situation. And no, ebay wouldn't like it, but so what. :money:I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
