Thanks. You do have to allow Paypal but I have put CASH PREFERRED in big capitals.

I was mainly worried as I read another auction for a similar car and the person had put 'if you have less then ten feedbacks, contact me before bidding'.

I just wanted the topic to be brought up TBH, I agree with Mikey, if they pay by paypal, the fees are probably horrendous, refund the paypal and tell buyer to collect with cash, give buyer a reciept and get buyer to sign reciept of goods "sold as seen and without warranty" one for you, one for them.

Give them the V10 section or is it V9? The green bit. Retain the V5 for yourself and send it off yourself to DVLA.

    Hi there
I'm selling my Toyota Estima on Ebay (thank you to those who gave advice on this).

What is the best day and time for the auction to close? I was thinking of ending it on Sunday afternoon, so anyone who wanted to come and look at the car could do so on Saturday or Sunday morning, and the winner could collect it on Sunday afternoon.

    But what would you advise?

    Thank you.

Friday evening, before buyers got to the dealerships on the Saturday.

Doesn't everyone have the right to pay by paypal on Ebay? It's set in stone I think. There may be an exemption for car, I dunno

The seller can chose how they want payment.

Sorry, have rules changed? :) When I last looked (quite sometime ago now) the seller could choose.

Sorry but that has no legal standing and I tend to stay away from advertisers stating such a term plus if the car is adverised truthfully so the buyer knows exactly what he is buying into there would be no need for such a statement.

But then I'd guess that there are many who still think, if they buy a car from a private seller on E-bay, they are buying from a dealer.

You have to accept paypal for everything now.
  • as the dvla can uhhum lose v5 paper work i'd recomend you send your v5 part recorded delivery.

with no feedback i'd recommend you have your witts about you eventhough people have to start a rep on ebay, there are a people out there that like to waist other people time and money, i'd recommnd that if he starts bidding for real, that you get him/her to contact you if they dont remove the bid.

to limit time waisting people say to leave a deposit through paypal and the rest on collection.

any questions you get that are relevant to the car/auction you put it on the auction page so someone else dont ask the same question on it.
