Busy day as i spent quite a lot of the morning out in the garden getting it sorted. Not a lot of money stuff till this evening.
Anyway:- op-40p
- PC - £3 survey
- usual read of the meters - electric use is down a bit more - 58 kwh this week
- looked into swapping gas/elec as year contract was up, but stayed where we are on a new fix that shouldn't cost any more if we keep an eye on useage over the next year.
- wrote a 60p DY review
- planted on my courgette plants in the garden, watered all the plants and new fruit trees from the water butt, but i have also been collecting the water you run while waiting for the hot water to start coming through and using that too.
- played bingo - didn't win
(spent a fortune booking a centre parcs break for September.) It's harder to justify treats when it costs nearly 2 months mortgage payments. Downside to having a smaller mortgage.
I am so looking forward to it already though. :rotfl:

Good luck with that one. May i suggest going straight to bribery? I've been through it twice, and it is the only thing i have found to work. My youngest is still being a complete pain about it. He sat on my knee earlier to listen to a story and wee'd on my knee rather than ask to go to the loo. And he's 3 in a fortnight so not like he is a tiddler. I'm fed up of all the washing.0 -

I best get some chocolate in for them then! DS is coming up to 3 in June and DS1 2 in July. He doesn't even want to sit on it unless we mention chocolate lol.
We thought with the long break coming up it would be ideal for the two of us to have a go at it, easier than just the OH doing it.Or so we hope :rotfl:

You will be too , It takes years to become really thrifty , but its a good hobby
.
Today ,I booked our holidays , we are going to Devon in our small caravan and it cost £198 for two holidays, one in May & one in August for 4 of us :j, and we are staying right on the beach. Whilst we are there, we travel to morrisons and buy all our own food , so we only buy the odd ice cream treat for the kids.
Got 3 charity bags through the door the past 2 days ,
which I DONT USE . I leave them outside but they never come to collect them again, so I use them as bin liners by turning them inside out.
Got extra work today which is good but I am worried, cos I suffer with a blood pressure fainting problem which makes it stressfull being away from home, never knowing if it will strike , but I need to earn money , so fingers crossed.
spent £18 whilst up the hospital last night,
my sons wrist was swollen after he fell on it and couldnt move it , but it turns out its a bad sprain and not broken (phew).
washing on the line and making pizza today.
Keep going everyone.Kindness costs nothing0 -

Have you been before? We go a couple of times a year and we love it. Going back in October to Elvedon this time (we usually go to Sherwood). It is expensive but worth it and its our one treat.Aiming to be Mortgage Free by 2022

We are doing that too - Mt DS2 who is 5 is not interested in the slightest (he has autism) but we are trying with DD who is 2 and a half. She wont wee on the potty yet but she loves sitting on itAiming to be Mortgage Free by 2022

This will be our 5th CP break, and 3rd time to sherwood. We love it. The only one we haven't stayed at is the longleat one, although i do fancy going to that one at some stage. It is expensive though compared to other holiday options.
The potty training, with both of mine i went for the option of a toy. I found chocolate just wasn't enough bribery. If they performed, they got to play with the toy, and if they regressed, the toy went out of reach where they could still see it and have it next time they performed. Boys seem such hard work with it. We are two months in and still going through between 3 and 5 bottom half clothes per day, and the washing is driving me bonkers if i am honest. It might be easier now the nicer weather is here.0 -

- Went to dentist and had a check up which was free as i had a baby 5 months ago :j........unfortunately i need a filling, this is free also but i really want to get a white one but this will cost £60

- Had spotted trousers for work in Mr S ages ago but didnt buy them as they were £16......went in today and they were in clearance for £10.70 with an extra 25% off, so got them for £8.00...........obviously it was such a bargain i bought 2 pairs :rotfl:
