Lovely to see newbies on this thread- the more ideas we can share with each other the better!

Saying that, I don't have much money saving to share today really.

    Free lunch at a friend's!

Dinner will be from the freezer, no idea what as have't rummaged yet, but there's enough in it to feed a small country for a month at least!

Changed back the euros from Paris (for free as kept the receipt) and got £23.

Have listed 3 items on Ebay today to end on easter Monday evening, fingers crossed they sell well.

Last night I had a 'talk' with DH, noticed on our bank statement that he's been buying lunch on workdays several times a week, often at pubs etc, when he could easily have made his own. Grr, what a waste. Still, I've decided to help combat the problem by buying a selection of rolls (different seeds etc) reduced in Co-op today and will keep in freezer to get out 2 each day for him. He said that the same bread and filling each day was getting dull, so I'll try to make it more varied. Worth it to save us £20 a week!

Yay it's the long Easter weekend, AND it's still sunny, bonus! Enjoy everyone and happy moneysaving.
Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams :)

It's been a fairly productive day today.
    • £5 voucher received from BP, and as i had £15 worth in my account i could buy a present for DS2's birthday and just put a little bit to it.
    • OP - 30p
    • vivatic - £2
    • new vista live - £5 survey, plus another £5 had credited so i am at £28.50 there.
    • Yougov - 50p/ now at £32.50
    • DY - wrote a 10p review
    • maxiles - watched loads of the viral videos, and got it from 705 points to 865. I need to persevere with this one as i want to try and get quite a few more £10 sainsbury s vouchers before our summer hols to get the most for my money.
    • dialego - 15 point survey - was very weird, took me to 48 points/need 300 for am voucher.
    • pruned my purple sprouting broccoli as it had started to bolt. We had a hefty portion for dinner, and hopefully we will get some more as it is a complete freebie after our nextdoor neighbours gave us them for free last spring.
    • £50 DY cheque paid into the bank.
    • showered the kids rather than bathing them
    • got 2 loads of washing dried on the line outside. :D
All seems to be pushing along nicely at the minute. I need to remember i am still waiting for a £10 Mr T voucher from Valued op, and £10 amazon from ipsos.

Today I've paid £75 in change from my mortgage savings tin into my account :D I also went to Tesco late in the afternoon and bought whoopsied chicken & cheese and some BOGOF offers - and that was it. The only deviations from my list were the whoopsies.

I emailed a business that buys clothes by the kilo - I have 2 bin liners they are collecting on Saturday - only 50p per kilo but these were items that were going to go to charity shop - have decided to be a bit more ruthless and get money for myself first. Have still got a bag of bric a brac and other stuff for charity shop and have freegled some things this week, so not entirely uncharitable!

I sorted a big bag of clothes for ebay (eg John Rocha, Principles etc) and will list next week when kids at school.

Where do you get 50p/kg for old fabrics?
  • Please can someone help.

I am trying to 'claim' my vouchers from maximiles, but each time I go to the check out it comes up with 'seuls les lettres, les espaces et les tirets sons autorisiioes' at the bottom of my details (very strange as this is the only thing in ?French!!!). I do not understand what this means, or what is wrong. I tried a couple of times and always the same message. I have tried contacting maximiles, but have been unable to find an email address I am confident they will receive my message or gain any sort of response from them. Any suggestions?

I've received £200 for my birthday (not for a few weeks) so I think I might op £100 into the mortgage and maybe spend the rest on myself!

*Used £10 Mr S " use me as you've not shopped with us a while "voucher for online shopping
*Pulled out my wage slip to get 10% off my hair cut and colour - saving £7 ( I've officially left work as of today so I just got that in )
*DH has got a pay rise at work resulting in an extra £40 p.m
    * Washed my curtains ready for the house move and can't believe how like new they are !
    * Found that Cif really does clean and brings work surfaces and kitchen cabinets up like new. Everything looks so clean and I didn't think it was dirty before

    Hi Bloomerang :j

Translation is as follows: "only letters, spaces and hyphons are authorised"

    Hope this helps
