    This weekend I haven't done much but..
    Wrote 1 review and done a bit of reading of other peoples work..
    Went out and stuck to my budget - even bought a few coins home with me!
    Got cheap fruit
    Bought stamps with 5% off from superdrug (1st class only) and before the price goes up (couldn't believe how much stamps cost though! Ouch! Unfortunately I've used half of the 2nd classes already, so will need to buy more tomorrow!)
    Sorted out opening an isa before the new tax year!
    Can't think of much else though unfortunately! I've got plans for this week though!

    Thanks for that Curly girl. Really weird as there were two notifications, both saying we spent £195, one with £65 cashback, and one with none. Both were declined. Maybe some gremlin then. I really hope so.

    Cheered up a bit as we watched 17 again, and i ironed the whole way through it. Just had a lovely shower, and i am ready for starting the week now.

    I got one email to tell me it was declined but it's listed in my 'activity' twice - just as you say above. Very strange and I was GUTTED for a few hours and then when I got chance I looked back at my records and realised I'd already been paid for it in December.......?

    Brilliant thread. I need to get back on the bandwagon and lots of inspiration here. Saturday I bought one pair of shoes instead of the two that I liked...need to work on it! :o

    We should do an MSE/MFW meet up somewhere like that and give a prize to the person who spends the least/gets the best value on things they needed :D

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:like it I am so bad when it comes to outlet shopping.
    • Managed to everything I wanted back in the loft and made a note of what I put back in there. Put the rest on Ebay and Freegle. Feels kind of liberating not to have all that clutter around.
    • Sent 6 cartridged off to Tesco thats 600 club card points and sold an item on Ebay only £3.09 but listed 5 more so hopefully will make a bit more this time.
    • Listed some Danish books on Ebay am the only seller so hopefully they will go. Didn't think you could sell Danish ones on there but found most of the ones I wanted to get rid off. Hardly seems worth it for most books though as there are 100's at 1p and you end up loosing out on postage.

    Hi all, hope you all had a good weekend:

    Just the small things today:

    * Brought lunch from home
    * Decided that next time I go to memorabilia exhibition I am going to exit the hall and have a £3-4 Subway meal instead of a rubbish, tasteless, cardboard texture Chicken Nuggets & Chips for £5! (Paid for DH too so that was a tenner down the drain and didn't feel very well afterwards) - rant over!
    * 50p in penguin pot

    Edit: Wow, didn't get screened out on VO - another £1.50 in the pot - finally!

    I've been AWOL for a few days, and have not made any real efforts to make/save money due to being ill but I'm back to normal today thankfully and need to try and make up for my days off!!

    Today I have :
    1. Bought Decleor cleanser and toner instead of Elemis that I usually use. I use Decleor serums and moisturisers so decided to give the cleansers and toners a try as they were £8.55 cheaper than my usual products. I know these are expensive ranges, but I have 'problem' skin and they make it more manageable - they would be the first things to be dione away with if I was struggling at all. I do budget for them and try to make them last as long as poss. I also earned £1.89 cashback on this purchase.
    2. Bought Elemis mask and exfoliator online instead of from my usual salon saving £13.24 (:eek: - I do like to support local businesses but not that much!!)and earning £2.68 cashback. Again this was budgeted for. All these products should last me 3 months.
    3. converted £9.86 to a £10.35 Amazon voucher on TCB. This will be usd to buy birthday and xmas gifts.
    4. earned 50p on Onepoll
    5. completed various sponsored polls on Toluna, screened out all the surveys.
    6. ate leftovers for lunch and dinner.
    7. changed the timer on the heating to come on one hour later in the morning and in the evening and have set the thermostat much lower so that if it is warmer outside, as it was today, it'll be even later before it comes on.
    8. received 5 packets of free seeds today - runner beans, 2 x lettuce, stir fry greens and sprouting seeds. Will give to dad to grow as I know he'll share the produce with me and if I tried to grow them, they would die (they did last year - i am no gardner!!)
    9. made biscuits from stores instead of buying some.
    10. got some Boots points manually added to advantage card from a receipt of my mums. The stuff was bought for me and i did pay her for it, lol -she left it in the bag so I thought I might as well - all goes towards xmas/birthday presents.
    Think that'll do - I feel like I've almost written a novel lol!!:rotfl:
