    Hello!

    Well, the weekend didn't go all that well after all... ended up being dragged out by a friend supposedly because it would cheer me up, so wasn't a NSD after all... I guess I only spent £12 so could have been far worse... Sunday, treated myself to a MacDonalds - was feeling deprived as not had one for a year, I hope that is it for another year now...

    Yesterday:

    * Could have been a NSD but bought some bananas for 56p... I guess they will keep me going all week as part of the lunches so not too bad an investment...
    * Walked for half hour whilst in work time and burnt 100 calories (one of these ad-hoc duties...)
    * Did TAB/ Tiki/ Sunbingo...
    * Took own lunch to work

    Today:

    * should be a NSD... going out to a friend's tonight but baked a chocolate brownie with stuff from cupboard/ fridge instead of buying anything
    * will do Tiki/ TAB/ Sunbingo when I get home
    * Just sold a small contract to a new customer (I'm not in sales by the way but allowed to sell if I get the opportunity) so that will be roughly £120 commission after tax in a couple of months :)
    * charging my phones at work
    * saved on heating this morning as did an hour and half on exercise bike
    * took own lunch to work

    That's it for me, hope you all have a good day!

    Today pour moi:-

    * MPG OCD - 47.1 :D
    * Year old crumpets out of freezer for brekkie
    * Charging mobile at work
    * Got myself 2 invites for tea after work this week (Don't worry I do reciprocate - sometimes)
    * Checked out the Best ISA thread (Kazza242) to check that its still worthwhile OP'ing rather than saving
    * Checked online banking and found that the Halifax have knocked £850 off my mortgage for good behaviour. No that's a lie. It was for the SVR debacle.
    * Made dinner from scrappy old veg last night (lightly fried with garlic, served with Pasta and Cheese) - enough for 2 portions so 2nd portion tonight
    * YouGov survey 75 points

    • Made my own make up remover cloths out of some fleece I had instead of buying more cotton wool. They’re so soft and actually better plus I can throw them in the wash.
    • Washed 1 load on a 30 wash and then TD as it wasn't sunny - it is now though :(
    • Tolunnna 3k survey - updated & now on 37k
    • Did my 10p clicks on TCB
    • Wrote letter of complaint to H/f as they are trying to charge OH £1 for going o/d when he hasn’t - there’s a blip in their online system. Thought it was my mistake last month but it’s happened again this month too.

    • Signed up for a market research thing but I’ve not had any luck so far. Fingers crossed
    • DS2 has left home again in a huff ( about the 4th time in 6 months so I’m not worried ;) ) so a saving of food, electricity , washing ..need I say more :)
    I can't be bothered updating this anymore

    Thanks everyone for your comments. It sounds like you all have the savings balanced well with the OPing and I really see now more how this thread is for the OPing especially. I guess I was finding it hard about how to differentiate because I'm just saving and I know its for the house deposit, but realistically its just about saving together as much as I can, be it for emergencies or for a house/both!!
    This week I' struggling a bit to think of things I've done/I've been lazy and haven't done anything!!
    I've done another review this evening for 600 points and I'm still trying to get up to date with my reviewing but struggling a bit.
    I've done about 20p on 1poll but I think I miss them all while I'm at work
    so nothing major really but i think it has been/will be a NSD too so yey!
  • Whilst OH took DD2 to hopsital I took the other two home and did the following:

    Mowed the back lawn for the first time since we moved
    Cleaned 2 of the 3 gutters (they weren't as bad as ai expected)
    Pulled off some more IVY on the house
    Fixed and screwed some guttering back to the wall
    Found some more dvds to put on music magpie tonight (think thats the last of them)
