    Dinner from Stores with purple brocoli from garden

    Of not so good stuff

    Thinking of having the garden done up a bit e.g new paving and larger patio
    Also would like new chest of draws in bedroom saw some while MS.

  • I definitely need to start using some up rather than keep stockpiling. There is a lot of money tied up there, so i should make the most of it in the next few months. I am pretty sure i have an obsession.

    I know what you mean, I can't even shut the freezer and yet, I found a reduced duck yesterday and had to buy it despite already having some!!! May need to do a grocery challenge soon...
  • It's not really happening for me at the moment...

    Yesterday:

    * Did weekly shop and spent far more than anticipated (including duck...)
    * Used a voucher for a meal out bit the car parking was nearly as much as the food???
    * Charged phones at work
    * TAB/ Tiki/ Sun
    * Breakfast & lunch from home
    * Treated myself to a cake stand (reduced in Homebase £5.99 - found out you cant pay with Nectar points there unless it's over £10) as my 9th month 'well done for giving up smoking' present...

    Today:

    * Attempted NSD but didnt last long as I realised I needed some chicken for tonight's dinner...
    * Charging phones at work
    * Printed a few things I needed from work
    * Will do Tiki/ TAB/ Sun tonight
    * Breakfast & lunch from home

    Must do better tomorrow!!! Must have a NSD...
  • Congratulations on giving up the smokes catseyes...you must be saving a fortune.
    OH's parents spend £150 per week on cigarettes between them :eek:...and then they wonder why they have no money :rotfl::rotfl:

    Today i have............
    • Filled in form from rates office to receive 15% discount in buy to let property...should save about £100 per year. (This is called council tax in england i think)
    • Made a big bowl of tuna sweetcorn and mayonnaise last night for lunches when i really couldnt have been bothered. I was so tempted to give OH money to get something...but martins face kept flashing in front of me :rotfl::rotfl:
    • Received credit card bill and i have earned over £7.00 in cashback this month
    • Bought a groupon voucher for hairdressers for £20..this is for highlights and wash, cut and blowdry. My usual hairdresser charges £55 for this, so i have saved £35
    • Stocked up in family size pies in my local shop for £1.99 each...i half these and they do two dinners...working out at a £1 for each meal
    • Will be using up some partly baked baguettes for tonights dinner as they are about to go out of date...think i will fill them with bacon and onion and melt cheese over the top :D
    Will update later if i have anything new to add
    Credit card £4461.15Home mortgage £137117Buy to let mortgage £83,000
  • To be honest with you, I dont think it has allowed me to save more money, I seem to spend more on food, alcohol and have developed a 3 packs a day polo addiction lol!

    But I'm pretty sure that once I get myself off the polos and the booze, the mortgage will be paid off within a month or 2... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Its not just the cost of the cigs - its the cost of having to redecorate more often to get rid of the tar. Yuk Yuk Yuk. I try not to judge cause I've never smoked so I don't really appreciate how hard it must be to give up (I have other vices :D *) but I just don't get spending that much money on FAGS!!! £75 a week each - it beggars belief!

    * Chocolate. I think about it ALLLLL the time. Even if I allow myself some I want more. I have more and I want even more. And so on. It never stops. If I could take a pill to make me feel ill at the sight of chocolate I would

    Then I think you're amazing - A HUGE WELL DONE
  • Thank you so much :o

    What is difficult is that people consider you a non smoker at this stage but I will admit I still follow people in the street for a bit of passive smoking... very MSE!!! :A
