Well, it's early but I have already hung out my washing. 1st time this year & I'm v lazy & don't like the cold so I am v proud of myself
.
Planning on buying some supermarket herbs, splitting & planting. Just call me mother earth (till they die :rotfl:)
Making a small OP later
Planning on doing tidying & ebay listing (won't be on here much if speed of internet connection so far today is anything to go by)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

well done mother earth ...I mean gg! good luck- am thinking of planting something this year but not sure what I can grow in a flat!!...;)
Im liking this thread- is definitely keeping me motivated with the daily updates!
Yesterday I managed to..
send off to recycle an old broken phoneNSD
took lunch into work and dinner from the freezer
added up food shop totals for last 2 months and tho we are coming a bit over £100 its not by as much as I thought, so £100 target for next month should be doable!
have a voucher for a free drink at the pub Im meeting friends at today!0 -
another one on the tail end of a migraine and
still in my dressing gown feeling sorry for myself.
BUT , today I have.......
put washing out cos its a lovely day here.
today I will ........
plant some lettuce seeds today.
bake some oat cakes.
make some cushion covers with some material I bought a year ago for £1.
And I am thinking of buying a canvas and painting a picture on it
for my living room wall. I am not a artist by the way :rotfl:.Kindness costs nothing0 -

I've always wanted to do that but I think I would need a couple of backups when (not "if"!!!) the first one went wrong!:rotfl:
Over the past couple of days I have....
- OP mortgage yesterday by £5 (haha! every little counts and all that!)
- Requested 2 refunds from elec and water accounts totalling £300 which will be OP-ed to mortgage when they arrive in my account
- Am in process of booking a weekend away - not MFW I know but I am using 10% off code and 7% back via TCB (plus we are going to stay in cheaper city rather than first choice!!!)
- Not going to use car today or tomorrow - so no petrol used
- Am about to book a cheap 8 hour slot with Asda delivery rather than £5+
- Been paid - so OP automatically paid to mortgage of £320
- Uploading shopping to Factfinders and Shopandscan = points
- Checked Amex account - have 20000 points = £100 to spend - might order a M&S voucher and spend it on yummy food which will save grocery money
Blimey....I didn't think I had been very MFW recently...but this thread definitely makes you realise!0 -
We've been up and at em since early this morning.
DH has been sorting the garden for me. Watering all my mini trees to see if we can revive them after the awful winter. digging over my veg beds, and planting some late garlic for me. We need to start the potatoes chitting in the garage, and plant some strawberry runners that arrived the other day. We've just started some courgettes and lettuce seeds off indoors in an old plastic egg box on the window sill.
I've been cleaning the uPVC back door and frame as it was still caked in grout from the kitchen being done. It has taken me about 2 hours to scrape it all off and clean it up.
I've also done a couple of loads of washing which are on the line, and we have all the upstairs windows open cirulating a bit of this fresh air we have today.
We've written a great big list of stuff we need to tackle over the next few weekends to make our belongings last longer (varnish the table, stain the decking, replace fascia on the front of garage.) All of these jobs we have the stuff for already, so we just need to crack on and spend some time at home rather than out and about spending money. We don't mind while the sun is out and we can enjoy it like today.
DH is also finishing off building the kids climbing frame today which will be fab. Nothing cheaper than kids playing in the garden with an ice cream out the freezer all summer. (When it arrives. :rotfl:)
I dare say i will find time for a bit of free bingo, dooyooing and surveys as the day goes on. I can't go too far as DS2 is still full of cold so he can't join in the garden activities for too long.0 -
Hi All,
everybodys doing so well, i feel a bit inadequate. :-)
today I have
- been to mr s for the food shop, inc baby food and socks and nappies, spent £47 so that was good. The £40 i won on a scratch card yesterday pretty much paid for this. Yippee.
- Done some washing and hung on the line
- filled up all my handwashes with mr s basic shower gel.
- off out to the outlaws this pm for snacks / dinner.
- DD in mr s basics nappies today as we are mostly at home. ( i am to ashamed to send her to nursery in them but they are fine for home)
- bought sainsburys own wipes as my favourite johnsons aren;t on offer and I refuse to pay £2.40 odd for 1 pack of wipes.
- Bought a wall clock, have been looking for one for ages and they had a nice one on sale in mr s for £1.25!

* Been to library to swap books, collect the ones I ordered and order some new ones - I buy some cookery books but never fiction
* earnt 2p interest on my virtual OP fund
I am going to go to the mobile phone shop to find out about unlocking an old phone I've been given.
I also need to get petrol for the week, and decide whether to drive or cycle to waitrose (no reason not to cycle really).Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -
