  • In the last few days I have saved money by having NSD's; made my lunch each day and firmly said no to the little voice that wanted fish and chips. I'm not having all my good gym work going to waste!

I also picked up my super cheap £1.24 combo deal of toaster/kettle/food processor and toasted my muffin instead of having to turn the grill on.

I have also kept the heating off for the last couple of nights which was a real test if will!

    Evening all.

Well i am just starting really on my money making for the day now the kids are asleep.

    Today i have:
    • posted an amazon sale and requested payment of £4.40.
    • Done one toluna survey so far. Points for one of the ones done yesterday have validated, so now at about 23,000 with 5 surveys to validate
    • used £3 luncheon vouchers towards shopping. Only got a few bit so spent £9.60 in total. Will supplement this fresh stuff with things we have in.
    • onepoll was great today. I managed £1.05, taking me up to £35.95. Payout is getting closer.
    • playing bingo as we speak.
    • arranged for DHs expenses on CC to be paid. Less than i thought as some payments hadn't gone through, so i can continue stoozing the extra £200 in our savings until the bill comes in.
    • made more bread from our supplies in the cupboard rather than being lazy and just buying more.
    • Didn't get blagged by DS2 into buying horrid processed expensive cheese and a magazine. We have cheese and magazines at home.
I am missing Dooyoo now it is not working. I really hope they get sorted soon as it is preventing me earning. :rotfl:
  • Oh dear, done nothing MSE except pick up 3p from the playground...... Must try harder...
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

Not a great day for me...
    • 35p from OnePoll
    • Transferred my Halifax £5 plus a random £3 that was left in the account into my FD mortgage account
    • Obsessively checked Quidco all day, but none of my payments have been received yet. Not impressed as most of them are from last year!
    • got a takeaway pizza for dinner :o
On a much more positive note, saw that a house down the road (same as mine) is on the market for £20k more than I think ours is worth and IMHO isn't even as good as ours... The market is still really buoyant round here so fingers crossed it sells quickly and for as much as possible. The only problem with living in an area where things sell quickly is that the step up for us to get something better is too huge a gulf at the moment, hence trying to OP on the mortgage to get the next house within reach.

Michelle - I'm lost without dooyoo too, and my obsession has only just begun...

what has happened to dooyoo? I thought I was having problems connecting to it, didn't realise it was more widespread.

I've got my great uncle's old printer working tonight so I could print out some money-off coupons for innocent OJ - then got horrified it is in colour and fiddled with the printer settings to use less ink :rotfl:
