Yesterday I didn't have time to post but I :
Asked DH's dad to fix the leaking dishwasher - Stemmed the large hole with some plumbing tape - saving a new pipe and a plumbers labour costs.
Put in a new plug socket - the other had cracked, Move the microwave brackets so the new one could go up saved me a tradesman and ££'s in total.
Took off the ham in the sandwich in the fridge that someone had left and put cheese on instead to be reused today.:o A step too far ? - Someone had taken the wrong sandwich and DS1 doesnt eat ham.
Received my AF order and had the mini free milk cartons in our brews - saving our milk.
Used a packet of the many tortillas I order from AF for the boys for tea, 1 down only 11 to go now :j Another pack on sandwiches for today..10 down ..
Saved money because electricity wasn't on for 2 hours because of the plug problem
Did music magpie on some blu rays we're never going to watch again- got £17 for 10 films.10% cashback through TCB waiting to come
I can't be bothered updating this anymore

    • Getting back up to speed on surveys and should be able to request on VO soon and Toluna not far off either :)
    • Desperatley need to go food shopping today - not sure if I can bear doing it with DS in tow or just wait until tonight
    • Trying to sort out overtime for next couple of weeks but don't think it'll come to anything
    • Oh, random letter from child tax credit saying we're getting an additional payment this month but no idea how much - was just a standard letter they send to everyone I think - anyone else get it?
    Have a good day everyone!

    :):-
    * Free Brekkie at work (Oat bar and Capp)
    * Using the Nectar Search bar to earn points (100 point limit per month = 50p)
    * By the magic of spreadsheet accounting I've worked out how much I can afford from next months budget (1st April) for that months OP
    * Worked out how much I can afford to 'forward pay' from next months OP due to a high floating CA balance due to spending on CC. So will be going in branch tomorrow and making an OP of £200
    * Am at BF's this weekend. So the cost of Petrol for the 180 round trip but offset agains no leccy used, minimal gas and no food to buy
    * Have txt sis to find out if she is in tomorrow night - if so then we will go round and whoop my BIL's bee-hind at Wii Sports Resort thus avoiding the need to go to the cinema or eat out. Fingers crossed.

    :(:-
    * Not a free lunch today. The free lunch choices aren't the best for someone with zero will power. There are only so many days I can eat Chicken, Bacon and Mayo on a baguette (Or Ploughmans with double cheese or Pate, Roast Beef & Coleslaw) and not keel over with a heart attack. The past two weeks of free lunches has resulted in my trousers becoming rather uncomfortable and as I'm typing this at my desk I have to 'fess up to wearing them 'V-waist' stylie. So today is Ryvita and Cottage Cheese bought with my own money. Sorry. May have to go back to salads next week - trouble is, I have very expensive taste in salads (Watercress, Baby Plum tomatoes, Soya Beans, Chargrilled chicken, ahem Tescos Finest Giant Cous Cous with Chipottle Pepper Dressing.........:()

Thanks so much for this post Danni. I've always been sceptical about online glasses - fit, etc, but these prices are amazing. I'm not one for playboy bunnies but the facebook link shows they have other deals too.

DH's friend works in an optician and offered to help me with the PD measurement etc and to fit them for me without charging. Guess I should get over my embarassment and ask him to help me at those prices.

Just wanted to do more than hit the thanks button.

I've not received them yet so please dont shout if they are useless! I was concerned about sticker still being on them but will have to wait and see when they turn up. The PD thing is explained on the website. Never bought off line before but my glasses are so bent it had to be done. Waiting for nice Bench ones to come in the sale.

I love reading this thread - some posts make me chuckle - esp. Iris Blue and your replacement ham sandwich! :D

    Today I.....

    - Went to work :D
    - Received £10 cinema voucher in the post from Maximiles.
    - OP of £45 made (received £45 from Atlantic Gas today as loyalty bonus - elec received yesterday!)
    - Did a 150 point survey from Myvoice which was mega easy (normally for this amount they're quite a chore!)
    - Used my credit card (again!) to pay £155 for my parents sewerage bill (they paid me by cheque - I get free points from the credit card company :p)
