1. I wanted to buy something online but resisted temptation.
2. Called up to get full mortgage balance (that had something to do with number 1.:D)
3. Homemade meals all day. I'm making an odds and ends soup from veggies in the fridge for lunch. It wasn't a no spend day as bought a baguette to go with my soup.HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

1. Made a nice Mexican bean stew and going to use up the rest of the baguette for dipping.
2. Spent a bit too much on my grocery shopping but it is close to Christmas and will have to just spend less the rest of the month.
3. Having a pamper day using stuff at home, hair treatment, hand cream, face mask and foot spa.:AHOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

So far this month we have;
Been making bread and dough for HM pizzas in the bread machine rather than buying,
Only spend £60 on food as we have largely been using up post-xmas meat from the freezer. Still got some portioned up turkey and a gammon joint we didn't end up cooking and a batch of mince pies in there,
Shopped at farmfoods for a few things which are cheaper in there than Aldi (7kg of potatoes for £2, teabags £1 for 100),
£20 work expenses and £10 from Topcashback OP'ed,
All work lunches from home,
Loads of batch cooking of wintery soups and stews and portioned up for quick meals,
Eked out hair conditioner with a bit of water for 2 more washes :rotfl:
Traded my car in for an ecodynamics diesel, better mpg :A
This weekend we hope to prep the garden and raised bed ready for the spring and growing stuff.#39 - Save £12k in 20250 -
Not much going on with this thread for a while so i will try to kick it off again...
Just got my youtube earnings for february and i earned £47.54.
Amazon Cashback credit card signed up to for wedding expenses so should start seeing a few vouchers when we start paying for things. Will try to save them for things i would have bought anyway.
How is everyone else doing so far in March?Mortgage Free 22/03/17

Hi JimLad, I've made £32 (after fees) selling on ebay and local fb pages so far this month.
I'm aiming for £150 total. I made £600 last month!!!! But now all my expensive stuff has been sold so think I will struggle to repeat that!0 -

£600 thats amazing!! We had exactly the same thing when we did a clear out. We sold loads of stuff initially, and then it slowed right down when all the good stuff was gone.
Now i just keep relisting the same old junk (on free listing days of course) and it never gets a bid!Mortgage Free 22/03/17

Things I have done this year so far:-
Paid the allowed 10% off the mortgage in january.
Made use of my free bus pass or lifts offered when possible.
Got hubby and son to take packed lunches to work and college every day since start of year except one day for hubby.
Things that I have done today :-
1. I have compared my gas and electric and changed supplier as found I can save £27 a year and get £30 cash back after 3 months:j
2. Bagged up an ink cartridge to get 100 clubcard points towards a deal for use on holiday:beer:
3. Paid a year in advance on the phone line rental to save another £58.80:D
Edited to add
4. Found a free phone number to ring YHA about a missing membership/discount card instead of paying for the call.
Wish I could be confident enough in our income to increase our monthly payments as I cannot overpay any more this year and the mortgage, although compared to many is now small, it is getting me and hubby down. My health is very poor and getting worse and so hubby is not wanting to work overtime as he wants to be home to look after me.:(The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0
