Just one new thing from me in amongst all the other normal (perhaps not so normal??) stuff I do - the Office of National Statistics interview me every 2 years about financial stuff. Seems I'm representative of the nation (can you imagine! :rotfl:), so I do my bit for Blighty, and tomorrow is my interview and in return I get a £10 High Street voucher :T
Well done on your NSW
I am also part of the statistics, an officer comes home and interviews us for an hour. But, we are not paid for itI always thought of that as our contribution to the country. Do I have to ask for my payment next time?
Mortgage: @ Feb. 2007: £133,200; Apr. 2011: £24,373; May 2011: £175,999; Jun 2013: ~£97K; Mar. 2014 £392,212.73; Dec. 2015: £327,051.77; Mar. 2016: ~£480K; Mar. 2017 £444,445.74

[*]Wombled two 5p off petrol tillspits when I was at MrT collecting something which I ordered last week - projected saving of £3 each for the next 2 fillings.
[/LIST]
That is brilliant :T I often wonder why people do this, get vouchers for 5p a litre off and don't even use them, especially in this current climate.
My small things over the last few days are;
- Packed lunches for work all week, mostly using whoopsied bread
- Filled up at Sainsburys in the week, used nectar card, paid on nectar credit card, got a till spit for £4.50 off a £30 spend and one for double points on my next shop.
- Went to Sainsburys again today to make use of the till spits. Conveyor belt looked distinctly orange and white with basics stuff but who cares lol.
- Another nectar promotion in the post which i'm going to use this weekend is 500 bonus points if I spend £10 in Homebase which I will use for something.
- Found a load of old scrap metal bits, including some bits of brass and copper in the shed. Taking it, along with some old tools to the scrappies tomorrow, should fetch about £10 or so. Decluttering and getting paid for it
Just realised my list is nectar heavy. This is because i redeem my nectar points for Amazon vouchers to spend on Christmas presents / bargains throughout the year.
Happy weekend everyone :j#39 - Save £12k in 20250 -

That's strange. I'd certainly ask why you haven't received your £10 voucher in the past & how they will make sure you receive it this time - it normally arrives a good 1-2 months after the interview, so is a nice surprise when it eventually arrives. I've not had to do anything...wonder if your ONS Officer isn't completing the paperwork properly. Definitely ask. It may only be £10, but it's YOUR £10

ETA - just dug out my letter - "To reflect the importance we place on your assistance, a gift of a £10 voucher is given to each person who completes the survey". N.B. Morning all, I'm trying to get back on track and all your posts are really inspiring. I've upgraded my mobile at £4.57less per month. I really must try & remember to charge mob & things at work as well.
Yesterday I potted up pumpkin, squash & courgette seedlings to harden off for the allotment. Pleased to see my tomato seedlings are showing signs of growing as well.

Hi all,
DH and I transfered £14.7k to the mortgage, we are now maxed out without paying 3% fee on any further OPs. Do we keep OPing and take the hit or put it in the bank till next year?
On a bad note, I am being made redundant from one of my jobs so money will be tight but there is enough to pay the bills and we have plenty in the bank for a rainny day. Its a good thing as I hated the job but scary as there isnt much work where I am. We have been preparing for this by phoning Sky to get the bill down by £30 and we have have saved £50 on our gas/electric and our mortgage payments will be £100 less with. This will obviously help but apart from growing some vegetables I am running out of ideas. I do the normal surveys and coupons so will just have to get my thinking cap on.
Sorry for the rambling!Debt Free - done

Wish I could get into that ONS survey, sounds fab.
This weekend for me:
* cheap petrol fill and miles points at Mr M
* got 2 books for my Xmas pressie box for <£1 in CS bargain sale (and a small "just because" gift for a friend for 25p).
* got some yellow sticky bits of fruit and veg at MrT petrol stationDebt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -

Got a Debenhams sale brochure with the Sunday Times today & they're showing a Kitchen Aid for £369 (was £419) available in 9 colours. I know Debenhams are on the Nectar eshops ~ says on the website they're doing triple points as well.
Has anyone seen/played the 'Spin to Win' on Nectar's facebook page?? Thousands of points to be won every day apparently ~ will have to have a mosey on over'A watched potato will never chit'...0
