Here are some of my recent attempts at money saving:- Have done a few surveys, redeemed $5 at SP, £10 from Mysurvey
- Have listed my junk (hope it is someone's treasure) on fleabay. There has been a bit of interest, so hoping to make atleast £20 this weekend.

* combined a trip to Mr M for lunch with a small shop there, and a visit to a nearby store, saving petrol.
* washing out on the line (I have no TD so no other way of drying this - except radiators?)
* turned central heating off (DH having been unwell has been feeling the cold and keeps wanting it on, so not sure how long this will last, but it is may!)
* entered my meter readings for points and emailed supplier to chase points not showing on statement.
* got some good CS bits for DH recently, nice to treat him and to keep him smart for penniesDebt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -

Its funny you say that, I have never, ever had one and people look at me as though I am either mad or poverty stricken if I ever mention itSo on the whole, I don't
I gather they guzzle electricity  so have never been tempted, even when I had 3 children at home.
Washing goes on the line outside, or in the airer inside.
Little things like socks go on the radiator.
I also have a fab airing cupboard, which is ace for finishing off laundry that has mostly been dried outside0 -
I'd never had a TD either until 3 weeks ago but i've finally given in. Drying washing is the bain of my life
I've tried radiators, outside on the line, a heated air dryer and a normal air dryer, over banisters and in kitchens but no matter what i do the clothes always have that musty smell about them!
It drives me potty!
There is only me and OH though so it only gets used twice a week in bad weather so shouldn't use that much electricity hopefully.. they reckon about £40 a year, which OH is prepared to pay to stop me ranting about stinky washing :rotfl:Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
did quite well with swagbucks this weekend!
my free 7 day garnier trial lotion arrived as did the coffee samples i am trialling for a survey.
shopping knocked down from £31 to £18 through using coupons
OH took me to choc making workshop as part of alphabet dating we do every month. made lots of yummy treats meaning i wont be buying choc for awhile! (although the experience cost him a quite bit i think!did try and drink lots of the unlimited champagne to make up for it!)
went to the library to get books
completed a few surveys on valued opinions.
completed shopping on consumer pulse
onepoll has lots on today!0 -
One poll had five surveys for me today and screened me out of all of them, hopefully someone else will be luckier.
Dried all my washing on the line. This is like a miracle. We were so used to not having a washing line/access to the garden it has become a habit to use the dryer. It hasn't been on once today- we usually at work all today though to be fair so have very little opportunity to get it out on the line when it isn't raining. We do dry stuff on the clothes horse sometimes but not often as we're lazy. TD's are great for fluffy towels too
Ahh yes - the airing cupboard, my Mum and Nan had one with their old water tanks. We don't have one in our house due to the combi-boiler. I'd probably use the TD less if I had an airing cupboard.0 -
Just bagged myself £60 for coming third in the Fantasy football league at work. I won it last year winning £100 but this is still good from a £10 entry fee
)
Also hoping my google adsense account should be at £60 (payout level) by the end of this month when they do the totals.
How much do you guys get on average a month from doing surveys? I did a it a little before but the small payments really demotivated me.Mortgage Free 22/03/17
