Meal planned for the next few days. Went to mr T and realised how much cheaper Lidl is

Made a lentil pie with leftovers, was yummy

Washed nappies and hung out on the line, didn't dry though

Made minimum payment on 0% credit card

That's it really. Doesn't feel that money saving really but then that's the point of this thread isn't it :)
      Updating soon...

I love this thread buthave missed it over the past few days as I've been away. Anyway...back on course...today I checked my balance (ok - its just had this month's normal payment cleared :p) and its under £115k for the first time - woohoo! And since I last calculated my daily interest - about 3 weeks ago - its gone down from £17.70 to £17.55 - thanks to a few OPs in the past few weeks (helped loads by reading this forum!).

      Anyway today I have....

      - Made an OP of £20 online to the mortgage directly just cos' we seem to be on top of our money this month!
      - Bought £37 worth of free yummy food from M&S thanks to my M&S credit card vouchers (I always pay off my balance - so totally free food!)
      - Paid my parents huge water bill with my credit card and earnt free M&S points (they always use a cheque - so this came to me instead!).
      - Counted the mortgage pig but didn't have enough of anything in there to bag up :( (but there was around £20 in "bits" - so need to be motivated to pop more in!!!).

Thanks to everyone for keeping me inspired with their posts on this thread! :T

Today would have been a NSD for me, by virtue of the fact that I didn't leave the house, but then 5pm rolled round and I was stir crazy so I went wild and took the car to fill up with petrol. £55. Ouch! (Necessary though so that DH can actually get to work next week...)

ETA: DH is out on the town tonight, so hate to think how much he will spend... Could turn out to be an expensive day!
    • Boring things for me

      Been to work
Made own packed lunches for work
      Sold some things on ebay
Rounded down bank account into virtual sealed pot

      Thats about it for today

      MOOC xx
Mortgage Free as of 31/5/11 :j:j:j:j:j:j:j
    • Bit boring here too, as i have been at home moving books back downstairs and tidying up after the kiddies.
      • DH took pack up to work.
      • DH was paid, so money moved to the different savings accounts for annual bills plus £120 for council tax put in overpayment pot. Now at £237 ready for the next £500 overpayment.
      • Spent time on Toluna - got 1st ever 500 bonus points for an opinion topic. Didn't realise they were that worthwhile doing. Spent time over there answering polls and doing opinions.
      • Did a valued opinions £1 survey.
      • Did 2 Ipsos surveys - got screened out but got 50 points. Now only need 60 points for £10 voucher
      • sent shop and scan data - £1.10 earned.
      • DS1s fire station arrived - 1st christmas pressie to stash away (£17 spent on £80 toy thanks to vouchers earned.)
      • made pizza for tea from scratch using limited supplies.
      • tried to do a new vista survey for £2 but got screened out.
      • did you gov oracle survey. At 2625 points there.
      • done my onepoll surveys - now at £34. Encouraged DH to do his. He's at nearly £6 so hopefully he will keep going.
      • finished knitting the top part of a pair of bootee sandals. To go in the present stash for one of the many babies who are imminently going to arrive.
      • written one dooyoo review.
It amazes me how it never feels a lot but it all does add up. Hopefully i'll see more payouts soon. :rotfl:
    • Not good on the MFW front today as i was away shopping with friends. however i did manage to restrict myself and not buy any unnecessary things.....even managed to get a few bargains including two pairs of Ugg type boots for £2 each in clearance sale :j

Have also just finished making tomorrows birthday cake for DD.

Tomorrow is going to be expensive as it is DD's party and we are also making dinner for ouselves and another couple tomorrow night.
Mortgage payment goes out on monday and i cant wait to update the balance on my signature.

      Have a good weekend everyone
