I'm glad I've just seen the posts about the charity bin bags. I have been astounded about how many have come through the door - as it happens I have been buying new suits for new job and there are a lot of suits I can't fit into any more so I think that I will do what's suggested here - for recognisable charities - I might out out the bags but there are so many that I'm sure are not!!
I have run out of bags to take to specific charity shops so will adopt those bags for that purpose!!!- Mortgage @ March 2008: £194,965 ; Lightbulb Moment: July 2011: £164,926; End Date: March 2033

The facial scrub I use in the shower (well, bath for now, but will be in the shower once the shower's been fitted) is about to run out. I've gone down a brand and halved the price. Only from about £6 to about £3, but this thread is supposed to be about small things, right?Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

The kids wanted to play snakes and ladders after my sister brought round her garden one yesterday. I made one by drawing on paper. :rotfl:Kept us all entertained for ages, and no silly pieces to do my head in either. Just a piece of paper. Different coloured lego blocks for pieces, and a dice from another game. Totally free.0

The biggest 'small things' that I do/have done are:
* Cutting my own hair using Wahl clippers - absolutely crazy to pay a barber £10 a pop when I wear my hair so short and can do it myself in the space of five minutes.
* Changing the deodorant that I used. I'm sad to admit that I used to regularly put Lynx deodorant into the shopping trolley - then I had a reality moment as to how much the stuff costs! Now use a supermarket own brand version which is just as good and about a quarter of the price!Highest mortgage debt - £167k in Dec 2008
MFiT-T2 challenge - starting balance of £144875 in July 2011 - aiming for £130k by December 2012
Currently overpaying & hoping to be mortgage free by 20250 -
