Auntimabel , I always believe in living within your means and thats what upset me seeing them in this mess. But whats that saying ...
you cant lead a horse to water :(. If I was near to loosing my house I would imagine it would be a like a slap around the face and make take positive action. But we are all different I suppose.

James , great to have you on board with your mortgage knowlege ,lol. I am impressed with your efforts and amazed at your earning . your mortgage should tumble fast ;).

Popped into charity shop this morning and got myself a lovely pair of trainers that look new for £3. Think I have anough shoes now:rotfl:.

A friend was having a clearout and listed stuff she was giving away online. I asked for:
    - a yoga mat
    - nice folding garden chairs
    - yoghurt maker

    Yay free stuff!

I also made my own lunch (for the first time this week - bad me).

    :j NSD for me :j

Swapped an office chair from work for the chair matching the sofabed & chair I got yesterday from freecycle (she was keeping one chair till she got a computer chair & I remembered we had some at work :))

Took in lunch again (& got slagged off as too much garlic in it :rotfl:)

Brought home receipts so I can do my (much needed :o) expenses.

About to make an OP of £4 something (quidco payment) to mortgage.

Great tales pippip - and my friends think I'm a bit weird too :D. Better weird than broke I say :)

HAD to spend £1.20 on a pot of tea in cafe with my friends after school drop off in order to keep my sanity during kitchen work (see my own thread for gory details).

Otherwise a NSD, will have chicken curry for dinner I made a few weeks ago and froze in anticipation of no kitchen. Can't do any housework cos boxes of kitchen stuff everywhere, can't cook cos no kitchen, might just have to watch Lewis episode I recorded weeks ago and haven't watched yet! :D
