MSEing for today:- several Toluna surveys - three that didn't screen out, so some good points to be had
- 30p on onepoll wowser!!
- a NSD
- read about the Halifax refunds for mortgage customers. Our mortgage is with Halifax, think it applies to us but not 100% sure
time will tell, won't be counting any chickens but you never know
- DH brought home another lush M&S chicken salad and fruit all courtesy of 'meal allowance' with his employers. Will have 1/2 the salad for lunch tomorrow and Friday. The fruit will not see tomorrow...I can feel a snack attack coming on :rotfl:

...but the memory of it lasts forever"0 -
I recommend the jamie oliver pizza base recipe.. I use half the amounts listed and it does 2 large and 4 small bases. Mr A doing 1.5kg bread flour for 50p at the moment.. which would be enough for 6 large and 12 small bases...MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

Morning guys. its 7.30am here....already I have
- packed OH off to work with HM lasagne for his lunch
- sat and entered some comps that are ending at the end of the month.
- checked to see if there are any new freebies on the site that I have just found.
- going to do DD's pack ups in a sec of HM soup, while I skype parents in England...I LOVE skype, it def saves on the phone bill!
- I worked out my incomings and outgoings that I 'want' to save/spend for the year and the difference was $3!! I was so surpised with that but it doesnt give me too much room for movement.. will just have to see how we get on.
Plus sat watching the stories coming out of New Zealand with the DD's and realising just how lucky we are, I think I forget that sometimes while I forcusing my attention on long term stuff...I can get a bit obsessed with the mortgage...
Working a 9 hour day today so better get moving.

You just freaked me out a little though, as i have never ever seen your name before yet you must know a lot about me. Makes me wonder how many people do read/subscribe to my diary and know more about me than some of my real life friends.Probably more than i imagine. Oh well. Nice to 'meet' you at last.
OMG ! I feel awful now Michelle !
Im not some scary stalker honest ! Im just an ordinary oerson who enjoys reading your diary and picking up on all your hints and tips that all.
Im quite a private person which is why I prefer to read rather than post. I just thought this thread may be more my style. I always read the one on DFW but as someone else has already said, I dont feel quite at home there not being in debt anymore.
Ill lurk back off into lurkdome0 -
Tabatha, I don't think you need to lurk rather than posting, so do keep posting on this thread. Sometimes it is strange to realise that people read what you write, and therefore know lots about you, when you know nothing about them. We get used to the feeling we are talking to the same few people who post and can forget about the lurking viewers.
Stay here and we can get to know you too
It is always nice to make new MFW friends - and it is great that you are DF now too - I think of it like graduating to the next class when you move from DFW to MFW
Look forward to reading more updates from you.Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -
Stupid bread question:
I've not had much breadmaker luck and am currently trying an Aldi packet mix - made by hand and cooked in the oven. Could I have frozen half of it? At what stage? How much different is it in the cooking and taste after freezing?Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -
Thank you Katsu.
Off for a bath & early night now (saves putting the heating on !!) but I will perhaps nip back tomorrow and tell you all a little bit more about me.0 -
Not tried freezing packet mix but I do freeze dough mixed by hand when making rolls. I make the dough, shap and leave to rise until doubled in size then freeze flat then bag up after 3-4 hours. DH not reported a hange in taste but says they are crustier than when baked fresh. I do bake them from frozen though so that might be why. Pizza dough i freeze at the just before rolling out stage then defrots and roll when needed. one again no change in taste.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

Tabitha - you are not disappearing again. I wasn't that freaked out by you per se, just then got myself thinking my goodness who else is out there i don't know about.
Judging by the amount of people who do the odd post, probably quite a few.
Nice to know what i write strikes a cord with so many people. Even nicer when they say hello. I guess my diary appeals as i post every day, and i am so everyday normal with 2 kids and a low income, yet still chipping away. I guess if i can do it then anyone can.
Just trying to earn a few last pennies before bedtime. I am mainly on DY, but thinking of popping to toluna now. I do try, but there are not enough childfree hours in the day to go on all these money making sites. How some of you fit a job in too i never know. :rotfl:0
