Pastry made. I stuck some in the fridge in a tub for a pie over the weekend, and i have made a dozen mince pies, and 2 quiches with the other half. Tea tonight sorted and snack box refilled. The boys have definitely got there appetite back after the pox. They have been eating loads of fruit, biccies, and shared the last banana bran muffin. Must make some more of those as i promised i would take some as a get well present to my mum now she is home from hospital.
I had slipped into pretty lax ways buying jusrol pastry, and i had forgotten just how easy it was to make shortcrust. Same with pizza dough last week. I can definitely stretch the food budget further if i make time for it and think about it.0 -
Today I have:
* put my thermals on instead of the heating when I got cold. Am still chilly but I am moneysaving
* done some dooyoo reviews and some toluna comments (got screened out of surveys)
* looked at approved foods and calculated whether it is worth shopping there for a few bits in view of the delivery charge
* will write a list before going to Aldi for milk later
* am thinking of trying to bake my own bread from a bag of mix out of the cupboard, instead of buying a new loaf
* doing my RM daily tasks
* applying for another job - if I keep applying something will comeDebt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -

Actually, i knew that but never done it, and it might be a stirling plan to make pastry and dough up as the freezer is running low and the pantry is packed. I would just need to buy some more fat, and i could do that at costco at the weekend. Plan. Thanks for motivating me lilac.
One lot of mess to wash up after too, which i am sure would please DH.
The quiche was very yummy. We have just eaten it. :DNow we are finishing off tea with jelly and oranges (oranges were a bit dehydrated but fine in the jelly, and eke-ing out the contents of the fruit bowl.
Sorry - not all my updates will be food related.0 -
Today I have:
- had a NSD :j
- watched lots of people on here :rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Actually you've just motivated me too ( hides the shop bought pizza base) I'll make some in my BM and freeze it - thanks
I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
Pretty poor effort from me today, but I'll chip in.
- Didn't buy crisps for lunch, despite fancying a packet
- Bought a cheaper brand of beer to drink watching the football
I guess it all counts... (also I generally eat healthily - you may not guess from this post)
