    Good morning all :)

It's a bit cloudy today over the UK today, let's hope for a bit of sunshine at some point.

    Today I have/will:

*Help my son apply for two jobs.
*Start totting up on my self assessment for the tax man.
    *Check CC.
*Walk the dogs three times today for lots of free exercise (one down two to go ;))
*Use free train pass to visit nearby farmers market.
    *One Poll
*Use up pasta in sauce for tea as it is heading towards best before date.
*Used two eggs in DP's brekkie instead of three. He likes a huge amount of scrambled egg but I told him they were small eggs. :D
    *Get lottery ticket for Sat.
*DP just got 8 hours overtime for tomorrow woop woop.:T

    That's is so far.

    Have a productive day peoples. x x

    Today I have:

    * Sent DH with pack up.
    * Walked up to the local Mr T's in the locality to my work and got the essentials for the weekend. No time for a big shop as I'm going out tonight. Will do the big shop on Tuesday. This has saved me shopping at Waitrose on Saturday and spending more than I had to.
    * Gained a £4 off if you spend £30 voucher from Mr T's - will use on Tuesday for the big shop.
    * Used 2 coupons, one for points and one for money off.

    Today:

    At work all day:(
Received wage slip and have more money due to increase in tax allowance:j
Left my purse in desk drawer so I wouldn't be tempted to impulse buy during my lunch hour;). There are a couple of charity shops near to work, Wilkos and not much else, and I needed to get some fresh air.

If I had taken my purse I would have been tempted to buy:
Scraps of fabric to cover dining chairs - £2
Jeans and top from CS - £5
2 packets of seeds from Wilkos - £1
Whilst in Wilkos I saw they had the 100l water butt and stand. They are selling both on special offer on their website, but nothing to indicate that in store. I was going to ask, but wasn't in a position to buy so didn't bother. Think I will wait for Arg*s to email as they have a better offer on their water butts when they get some stock.

Our council sometimes does really good offers on water butts (and compost bins). Might be worth having a look at your local council website. :)

AB - I have tried the Council (and I work for them) but no luck - the good times are over. Also Freecycle/loot/ebay were a negative. Arg*s have a good offer for the butt, stand and connectors for £20 - BUT NO STOCK AT MY LOCAL:mad:

Whats this I see to the right of the screen - Tesco scrapping DTD!! the good times are well and truely gone:cry:
  • I like this thread - lots of great ideas.

    - Today I started my mortgage free wannabe diary.
    - I also stocked up on two-for-a-pound facial wipes in Poundland - I find they're just as good as Boots ones but much cheaper.
    - I did a couple of surveys and watched some videos on Maximiles
    - I close two bank accounts I don't use any more, and cancelled one credit card that I got for the 0% deal which ran out at the beginning of this year.
  • today I had the final two chaps out to measure up the windows
been gathering yet further bits for the car boot on sunday
DS has started potty training and today was the first with no accidents!

    Things to do this weekend
    - get some cash for car boot
    - borrow another clothes rail and wallpaper table

    Mortgage free - 01/05/2019, mortgage high £200k 2011

Sounds lame but the only thing I have done today is obtained some plant pots from a local Freegler so I can sow some veg seeds :) Look forward to doing a bit more tho! I guess if I'm being really tenuous, not being at work over Easter has saved me a bit in commuting costs too!

I've tried a bit today, as DH has been out working since 6:30 this morning and only just got back, so i find it best to stop me getting bored.
    • OP - 75p
    • i did 2 survey network surveys - about £1.50
    • crowdology - 40p
    • BP - £5 amazon voucher arrived.
    • yougov - 50p
I was wanting to do some review writing too but ended up reading a book, and then this evening having about an hour chatting on the phone to my sister so i think that was probably time well spent too.

I might quickly see if there is a review already written i can paste onto ciao.
