Thats how I took it coolcait - that maybe his behaviour was due to other, possibly as yet unidentified, underlying issues. Yes the outcome is the same got GQ either way but a little more compassion may be in order IF that were the case, and indeed a move to more suitable accommodation/ ongoing support woud be a preferrable outcome than eviction.People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Made CHOCCLAIRES CHINESE CHICKEN but used pork chops. Another success.
Does anyone think it would work done in the slow cooker? I normally throw everything in there but no one has mentioned a slow cooker in relation to this recipe. I also use four times the amount of sauce mix as it is so y ummy.Second purse £101/100

Yes, I have used this recipe in my slow cooker with excellent results. However, just before eating I do pop it in the oven for 20 mins.0 -

afternoon all, gonna have to be fast post and run as my dial up goes down at 4 pm so excuse typos and brevity.
Has Idiot Boy got mental or behavioural problems which are the root of his ASB? Dunno. Certainly wouldn't use that nickname if I though he did, not for a moment. I've spoken to him several times at the start of the tenancy before it got too bad. He's clean cut, nicely spoke, articulate, seemingly Joe Normal. I would decribe him as emotionally immature. He told me last May he was 19 so he's probably 20 now. Behaves like a 5 y.o sometimes (belching competitions with his mates).
He does things like come into his flat in the middle of the night and say within seconds "hey listten to this" then beat out a tune like tum-tiddly-tum-tum on the radiator pipes. Seems to be blo*dy-mindedness rather than Asperger's/ OCD to me.
Gotta go will post again tomorrow hugs to all xxEvery increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Greyqueen he sounds a lot like the idiots we had trouble with. There does seem to be a pattern of bad or non existant parenting with these youngsters and half our towns young people behave like it. It is almost like they are clones.0

Afternoon all
Most unamused to find out today that my sister in law is in the process of seperating from her husband but they havent been getting on for a good while now and she has already gotten herself a new man, who she has introduced to her eldest son. Not a happy bunny - what happened to the sanctity of marriage or at least properly officially separate first and move out!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:really gets my bloody blood boiling especially as Im the child of a messy divorce through my mothers adultery - spent most of last night well and truely piddled off and ended up crying in the shower before my shift started - but went into work and one of the guys made me laugh so cheered my mood up. Can always count on my work mates.........:p
Apart from that not much else going on.
Determined to get my spending under control and will be taking stock of the cupboards tonight as I have about £25 to last me until next Thursday so that needs to sort everything but I have paid all the bills so my wages when they come are all mine.£250 - don't mind if I do although most of it accounted for - some for savings, new buggy for Minnie as my travel system is a nightmare for being unpractical. Budgetted £80 but if I can find a nice one under that then super bargain!
Also bit of good news, had a letter this morning and my minnie won £10 in a competition. Think I really should keep going with them.......:T well done minnie. x x x
Will be blogging this afternoon at some point. Really want to get myself a reading list together with a few OS book ideas and with a few classicals thrown in for good measure so if anyone has any good recommendations I'd be most appreciative - which reminds me - HARDUP HESTER - Yes Please!
Really need to get my baking under control and a plan made. Sunday would be my best day to do it but its full now of Rugby in the morning, and work in the afternoon so I literally get 2 hours to chill out but during that I need to get showered/dressed etc so may need to rethink that and perhaps move it to Monday day time instead so that Ben has plenty of things to nibble before his Rugby and it keeps Owen in health nibbles for the week being that he now wants to lose weight and get himself fit for summer.
Cooking for the freezer needs to get done soon too - although our freezer isnt big and we could put a few bits and pieces in there I need to think about meals that Owen or me can simply reheat when we are busy or hungry - like Bens football nights or when Im working etc and hes got the three kids so he can nuke something quickly.
Cleaning/Decluttering - really need to get this sorted - I do a basic clean every day - ie dishes, sweeping, beds made etc but need to get to grips with decluttering a bit more I think.
Competitions I need to get more of a grip with - I do enter a lot but need to start doing them regularly again I think. It can take me up to three hours to enter a full days worth of competitions if there is a lot on so think a designated day for competition entry's might be a good idea and that way then I can keep on top of them.
Really must sit and draw up a rota and food plan tonight me thinks seeing as Ben's football practice has been cancelled.
Tomorrow he is off out with his little school friend Callum, his mum and dad want to take him to the cinema and he asked if he could take a friend so he invited Benjamin. God knows what they are seeing but they are picking him up at 11.30, going for lunch and then seeing the film. Oh well keeps him occupied and I can sort my life out tomorrow too.
Right, must go need to get dinner sorted.

Hi guys,
It was merely an observation - I follow this thread but rarely post, and I cannot recall the beginning of the 'idiot' boy's saga. I guess my point is that I appreciate how awful it is to live with such a hugely disruptive neighbour, but I work with people with mental health issues and learning disabilities and sometimes its not so easy for them to behave in an 'apppropriate' way. No, to whomever asked (sorry, cannot remember) but I wasn't thinking of him living in supported accommodation, he obviously doesn't need that, I am just a little uneasy about the villification of this young man without knowing if he is just badly behaved. Prejudice and stigma are alive and well, and we're none of us model citizens, however much we might like to think we are. I guess I just hoped that folks would be more tolerant and maybe consider that he has a story of his own which we haven't heard.
Not trying to detract at all from Greyqueen, as I say it must be dreadful to live next door to a noise machine!

I have every sympathy with this, but its also very hard for people with no such problems to function normally on no sleep and nervousness and they get very little support and a saga to try and resolve issues. I absolutely agree with the sentiment of your post re vilafication and understanding, but I personally feel its pretty tough on the people having to go on around such circumstances unaided.
Its all got v. tense in here over this!0 -
lotinrates I agree, it's very difficult on both sides. Didn't mean to cause tension, I guess i'm the only one uncomfortable with this. I'll bow back out again

No, IMO its right that we're called on stuff and different opinions are airedI just feel sometimes the victims are not the real victims IYSWIM and that the systems seem weighted against this...to NOONES benefit.
