İts a lovely sunny day here and the sun has some warmth in it-it has been the coldest period of the winter in the last week but hopefully it is behind us now.
İ have been looking at the finances(as usual) and feel there is a lot of room for economy--i am going to hit the brake on gym memebership because no one is using it and it costs a fortune here(130 quid a month), i am also fed up with my daughter complaining about continually studying-we pay private college fees and private lessons for music on top of the state education costs--she goes to high school next year and i am bggred if i am going to slave to pay for her to waste her opportunity-tough love! i never got any extra while at school and if i did i wouldnt have windged about it!--her real dad doesnt assist in anyway and she is ungrateful!!--she has everything put on a plate and doesnt appreciate it!--the money will go into paying my mortgage off and she will benefit on my demise!mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0 -
Ungrateful is what they do, I'm afraid. Don't be too hasty. I often feel like doing the same when DD2 seems ungrateful but part of being a parent is helping them to avoid doing things while they are young and stupid that they will look back on with regret ie throwing away opportunities. They aren't really mature enough to understand that there are consequences to choices. I also feel I would regret it if I gave way to irritation. So I ignore the whinging and insist on piano practice - but she doesn't get a lift to schoolIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

My daughter doesnt lift a finger to help anyone or anything--we work long long hours and she complains about us doing that--we are building a school for her future security and maybe a job for her but she refuses to ever consider being a teacher or anything in the business-we have a music dept and she is good at piano but now she wants to do art and dance--i wont pay any more for her whims--i dont have the paternal bond of actually being her real father so i see it in the cold reality! she has all the material benefits but if she wants to whinge i will stop being so benevelant DH has just come home with a new expensive hairstyle and refuses to budge on the gym membership--stop thw world i want to get off!!mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0

We've got a lovely sunny day here, so washing went out on the line before I came to work and I put the slow cooker and the breadmaker (on timer) on too. What a lovely start to the weekend:D Hope everyone else has some decent weather too.0

ChocClare - how many thighs do you use for your Chinese Chicken recipe please? I'd be using four for OH & myself, but just wondering if I'd need to up the juice/gravy quantities if I cooked it for 4 people and used 8 thighs? Helenjelly is from the GC by the way

right im planning 2things today nesting for baby and general house tidy as agents inspection tommorow:eek:
confused myself in sainsburys yesterday.was by myself so did mini shop as can only carry so much on bus.
They got some good meal deals on.
4indian and chinese ready meals and 2 side dishes naan and poppodoms for 10quid.yesnot very os but unsure I could have made same from scratch for for same or less as cost of chicken fillets quite high.
That sleast 2meals for me and hubby.
They had another meal deal for 4 on 2hugepizzas ,twin pack garlic bread and salad for 5 quid..
so pizza well thats 2meals with chips.
will use garlic bread and salad with pasta meal and will be least 1 other meal:D
The huge pizzas gothrough till at 3.99 each soist worth about 12quid individually.
This is part I get confused easily done with me I know:rotfl:
me being supercontrolling I add it up as I went round and came to 46quid although did buy reduced dressing gown for when I had baby.
It dident give me a split voucher as spent over 40:(
But dident seem to take indian discount meal off receipt.
Cashier was baffled but they rubbish with till management and queues were forming said accept it I will look at receipt and go customer services again another queue.
Customer service assistant bit baffled as on receipt always shows multibuys and total savings. showed her items as packed all in one bag.
She went to section and checked to confirm not my mistake.
then she refund me £5.75!
Looked when got home im sure its right although discount dident show it went through and that I paid £4.25for whole deal!:j
just very odd.
My mate said marks got fab roast deal fiver.sometimes im fan of meal deals if they practical items I can use for 2-3meals.
Ones that include meat or whole chicken always good as can stetch them.
next week planning maybe 4shops if feel up to it.
