İs there a football match tomorrow!!???--i hope the premiership is functioning as well because i enjoy that, the fa cup is only covered by turkish channels and i hate watching football when the commentators cant be understood--its bad enough with the dire usage of grammar you get from English ex professionals-we was robbed!!
Bad day today everything that could possibly go wrong went wrong! i am home now and the bottle of raki is luring me to partake. i am getting a right old soak because its three nights in a row -my wife's 28 day condition is stressing me plus today she has got a migraine and spitting fire!
Tomorrow i have 9 consecutive lessons with 30 minutes for lunch so i need to chill out and get to bed early tonight, we have been falling asleep on the sofas this week in front of the tv and i dont get quality sleep with the tv on and disturbing my dreams!mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0 -
Afternoon All.
I cried my last wee tear for Diva today, and though I will think of her in the future, it will be with a smile when I remember how kind and sweet she was.
I am having a tough day here, the house is not getting any cleaner nd my husband is proving to be less than useful. I have things I really need him to do to help me, but I am afraid of asking lest it start a tiff, or a sulk as he really does not like being "nagged" - for nagged read asked to do something other than watch TV!!! Don't get me wrong, I adore him, but he is so laid back its not funny, and having been raised by a passive aggressive mother, he has learned to sulk with the best of them
Thanks for that, I feel better already! Can't decide what's for dinner - possible spag bol or chilli as I have quite a few bags of quorn mince in the freezer. Be back later.

Afternoon All
RIP Diva
Been a long day, woke up at 5 and got up at 5.30. Stripped my bed and turned the mattress, cleaned the hen house, showered and went to work. Had a migraine headache by half 10! Still feel better now but would like to sleep. Going to have a very chilled Friday night in front of the fire/telly and do nothing!
Redruby - hope your Mum gets a rest and your Dad is ok.
Taplady - good news about your test results.
Hugs to those not feeling so good today. Take care all. XX0 -

Men aren't nags because whenever they ask we do normally do it!Dum Spiro Spero0 -
I agree with anguk and candygirl. This is my workaround to give a bit of visibility to the 'they say they're going to do it - we just do it' I sit down with OH every now and again and say, we've got load to do this weekend - will you give me a hand making a list. This turns jobs into a list with our names next to it. This is left in a very visible place, and I cross off the things I've done as they're done. He sees the list, competitive blokey nature kicks in (and the desire to remove any food for sarcastic micky-taking on my part) and cracks on - hoorah. I like to think of it less as manipulative, more of assertive people management! Perhaps men respond well to star-charts?0

Thinking of Diva's family and friends today. Will certainly miss her purple posts and kind words.
JackieG - just ask him! Give him a choice of 2 jobs, that's what i do with my DH sometimes. Mind you, he does hate it as it makes me out to be organising him (which I am;)).
Good to see you Halight - thought you were missing!
Taplady - really pleased for you re result!
Pasta and some kind of sauce that doesn't involve too much effort but which will contain fresh(ish) ingreds for tea.
Take care all0 -

Please can I come back?:o
Not been in a terribly good place health-wise, so had to step back a bit, and ironically, I've been flat on my back on the sofa today, but feel a bit more able to post on the Daily. I won't promise to post every day, but will try and be a bit more sociable than of late.
Regarding getting men to help - I have to have Mr LW's assistance with a lot of things, I generally say, something like "Right, we need to do A, B and C, which shall we tackle first?" and we do the tasks together as much as possible.
Probably helps that Mr LW was already house-trained, as he'd lived alone for many years before I met him.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
