Use a surgeons knot and glue
if you use a quick drying glue get someone to stretch it for a few minutes whilst you glue, i use these clips from wilkinsons, like bingo board clips only smaller if that makes sense x
Thank you susiecm3! Just googled surgeons knot, tried it and its much better, even without glue! (Which is OK for me, but the ones for school need to be even stronger) someone has suggested 'GS hypo cement' to seal the knot (belt and bracing it):T0 -
It is just glues, no stronger than superglue and a pain in the bum to use, you can even use clear nail varnish, no elastic bracelet in unbreakable, even if the knot hold the elastic can snap, also if you double the elastic it will help with strengthThrifty Gifty Money Making =£280 Sealed pot challenge 1192 Toluna = 77339 Bingoport = £10 redeemed + 33470

I use 0.6mm clear elastic and double it over...thread the beads (4-8mm) and letters on then double knot the ends together and dab a bit of super-glue in the knot, then quickly slip a bead over the knot (if that makes sense).
I have had a few special orders to complete today.....No time for telly tonight.
I hope my friend likes the items.
Busy busy busy :j
Im intrigued and trying to find how to make the bracelet above, but as i dont know what kind it is i can google a tutorial IYSWIM. Im planning on doing a biggish bead order tomorrow, so would really appreciate any help or advice on it.
Thank you, Lx0 -
I bought the bracelet from Primark...Its in the jewellery dept (£1). Similar ones from craft stores cost £2-3. I suppose you could make one, but the cost of the chain alone would be £2-3.............. then there is the time and effort to thread it on to very strong elastic and trying to secure it.
I have made (and sold) many of these bracelets.
The beads are treaded on to headpins, a hoop is made and then attached to the bracelet using strong 5mm jumprings.Slimming world new starter 2/1/17:D:DWeight loss so far 5 stone 8 lbs

I think they will look great clipped to a plain handbag.
I have also been making more of the stretchy bracelets....with Swarovski Crystals.

My round nosed pliers have "had it"........the padding has all come off. So every time I use them for long period I get blisters on the palm of my R hand.
