Natwest have untill tomorrow before we serve court papers on them. Do you have to give them an extra day due to the bank holiday?
Also, we will be claiming back £2,220 with interest, but we have aloan with Natwest that is with the CCCS. Will some of the claim have to pay this back?
Thanks
Hi - I think I gave them 14 calendar days rather than 14 working days - I think you could probably go ahead tomorrow and file your claim, although waiting one more day isn't too long to wait, if you decide to do that.
I'm not sure how to answer your question about the loan that's with CCCS - hopefully someone else will come along and be able to answer that.
all the best

:T Thanks for your quick response Pam
Will have a look at the links you posted,Good Luck with your claim.
Tim
Cheers Tim !
I'm fully expecting Nastywest's solicitors, Cobbetts, to write to me this next week or so. Why do they bother, when they have to pay up in the end
I must admit, I got quite spooked about Natwest having decided to defend, but I'm over that now. I'm enjoying seeing them in the dock as the defendants :rotfl:

hi all..
the 14 day deadline after sending my LBA is up on thursday and i cannot wait to take this further! im so sick of nastywest.
You can just imagine how much money they have had of us cant you..
They get cobblers solicotors on the case and end up paying out anyway sometimes more with interest..They are just paying solicotors fees for nothing arnet they...? sorry we are ..it;ll just come out of all the money they have stole of us in the past!
we would get 10 years in prison if we decided to rob a bank!!
If i havent heard anything by thursday im going to get straight on the telephone to FO and then to nastywest to let them know!
As soon as i get my money back i will never deal with them again..
sorry for going on but i was just sat here thinking and getting a little bit mad!!
good luck everyone!0 -
hi everyone
im just about to send my next letter given natwest 7 days to repay me my money, now cuz im claiming £9500 i cant go to the small claims court, so, who and how do i put a claim in for this amount? would it be advisable to seek legal help i.e. a solicitor, cuz its such a big amount?
also ive heard that some barrister is taken natwest to court, does anyone know wots going on with this and wots the predicted outcome? cuz i expect natwest will really drag their feet to repay charges just incase the verdict goes in their favour!
many thanx in advance0 -
Court date for Tom Brennan is now 21st May @ 10:30
I think he is trying to force NatWest to disclose their internal costs amongst other things.
I've seen some cynical remarks about him not having to pay his own fees - £200.00 per hour - on consumeraction pages.
He'd earn a lot more as a solicitor than a barrister - Good luck to him I say!0 -

hi all..
I rang customer relations today to get an update on my claim..
rang 0800 number..out of service..
rang 0845 number... no use at all..
i asked her did she receive my email sent 3rd may ..she replied..' we dont answer emails..dont know where you got that address from but we dont receive or send emails..
totally hacked off i then rang FO and they said they cannot get involved untill natwests 56 days is up as by law they have 56 days to respond..
natwest were worse than useless today..they claim they dont receive emails and they claim that my letter sent recorded on 25th april is not yet in their system as they are so busy! as this letter was my LBA..im going to claim wth MCOL this week.
they say they only have my 1st letter dated 12th april..
I get told different things each time i ring!!0 -

That's nonsense about them claiming not to send or receive e-mails - Paw from this forum emailed them and had at least one response when she was claiming her charges back !!
If they haven't got your recorded delivery letter (sent 25 April) on their system yet, then that's their problem - you don't have to wait til they get their act together.
I would just send letters recorded delivery in future, following the timescales advised by Martin , and not bother phoning them again.
Good luck with your claim

since i wrote that last post i rang customer relations again to find out exeactly whats what with their emailing policy and i spoke to another woman who said the same thing that their email address that we all have is for internel use only i.e between staff , depts etc...she stressed that they do not receive or correspond with customers via email..she even told me to sent via recorded delivery in writing the email that i sent cos they dont have it and asked me where i got the address from to emai them!!
i am gonna send my email in writing as she suggested as it was a review of my charges cos id been charged an extra 76 pound since my original claim & i wanted them to add it on!!
they are just lying and saying this to delay and stall arnet they??
im a bit worried tho for anyone who has made their original claim via email and i would suggest that they ring up and find out whats what!

Ive emailed them twice and had replys both times. Although it did take a week for them to reply to each and the reply was nothing i had not heard before.
I also contacted the FO when twatwest had had SIX weeks and they quite happily contacted them on my behalf.
Its shocking what crap they come out with!:mad:0
