esmf73, that sounds lovely, can't wait til i have lots of outdoor space next year and can grow a few things in pots!
juliegeorgina, i read your post yesterday evening and it's nice that you finally have a few answers. hummus is delicious with everything :D try a butter bean or lentil dip if it's a success. if you don't have tahini, it's easier to just make your hummus lemon & corriander, chilli or garlic flavour etc
jc2703, good news about the trousers(assuming you don't flash anyone today!), but remember it's not just about what you weigh on the scales but how your body changes and you feel :)

Morning all, i've been pretty absent from here lately with bits and bobs going on and an eventful weekend! Have been reading the threads but not getting around to posting. My ugg boots that i waited ages to buy on sale broke after three weeks at the weekend, i'm getting a refund but now they're not on sale anywhere it will be +£60 to replace them :( aka not worth it! Can anyone recommend some comfy and okay looking shoes/boots to me? Where is my dream shoe?! fleece lined with a sole that can take 4 miles of walking a day and look good with a skirt? Not sure it exists, anyway...

The LL/agent are coming for an inspection tomorrow so it's just as well I have today off and had planned on cleaning. I'm new to fly lady but looks like I'll be doing the whole week worth today as there's no way the guys will be much help. Have been nagging one to wipe his sticky purple protein shake splatters off the kitchen floor for a week, everyone's been nagging him. Last night I got up the tea/wine/water/jelly stains on my carpet with some washing powder, it looks better but you can't polish a turd/make a disgusting old cheap cream carpet look new! Hopefully cleaning will be done by three so I can settle down, paint my nails and do some uni work.
So today will be rather OS and cleaning-filled! HM L/O chicken stew(how is that one portion of chicken casserole left in the slow cooker suddenly becomes five bowls of chicken stew with a few more beans and water?!!) for lunch and possibly dinner too.

How do I make butterbean and or lentil dip? Do I need Tahini for that too????? I have a whole bag of butterbeans in the back of the kitchen cupboard :o Sounds interesting and worth a try :D

bramble I have! I am ordered £10.94 of eggs and milk, it arrived... all now it's all been eaten/drunk! I am waiting for an invoice (22nd) to come though :D

http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/11674/spiced+butter+bean+dip the yoghurt just makes it creamier and more dip than pate
or like hummus (less the tahini)

bramble, i used them last time they had the £10 free deal on and they're good, left the stuff in bags on my door step ~11am. Did find some of the dates on my stuff were very close though, like three days away for a carton of goats milk and a week on some yoghurt. Not bad but i'd pick better myself at the supermarket- can't complain when it's free :D

  • Afternoon all

Working at home today so chucked some soup on the hob to burble away this morning. Had some less than fresh looking parsnips and a few other bits then remembered I had a bag of 'stuff' in the freezer too - it was mainly floppy celery and hearts and broccoli stalks. Couple of stock cubes and some lentils, whizz with the stick blender - very yum - and made 5 portions!

    Jacket potato for dinner.

Did some dusting before work and hoovering to do afterwards - washing on the radiators so all sorted for today!
