we get a xmas party paid for by the company. in recent years, they've started doing a buffet lunch as well for everyone who works the last few shifts on the run up to christmas.

OH's employers throw a Christmas party but he's going to be working and we can't go. It's a big oil company so they're quite fancy.0 -

Snap! They sometimes let us go a few hours early on Christmas Eve (although this year it falls on the weekend anyway). They used to give us £5 towards our christmas do (only payable if you actually went to the do) but we dont get that anymore. Reading these posts makes me wish I worked in the private sector!0 -
We get a christmas dinner and night out with everything laid on and last year the bonus was £300ish. Only get the bank holidays off. Hot and cold running chocolates for most of December!
Oh, and we get easter eggs too

Hi there I am also NHS, so nothing for me - however contrary to beliefs there are other perks which aren't related to Xmas (how can you tell I work in HR!)
Anyway back on topic - My Husband gets an extra months pay in December - so basically doubled salary for xmas.
We also get party from them with partners, including free bar and transport laid on.
His department also have a team meal out in December as well which is also paid for.
But then they also fly everyine business or first class for work!0 -

I get the leave off over christmas ( break up on 21st yay!) but we dont get any gifts, apart from the odd tin of chocs for the section to share.
