Christmas Bonus? Annual pay rise? Christmas party??
nope, none of these words are familiar to me... but it's nice to know from everyone else's responses that I'm not the only one!
Last year we decided to go out for lunch (us paying, of course) without the boss as she was being such a moody cow. When she found out, she got incredibly cross, and we had to take her - and go to a much more expensive pub as she doesn't like the cheap one. And no, she still didn't pay...0 -
We don't get anything, except for a lunch that the company is paying for and I've been told I've got to go to, even though I'm on annual leave that week  And we have to do a secret santa and buy a £15 present.
Oh well can't grumble - at least the lunch is free
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
nothing for me - NHS0

We get invited to Xmas lunch - for which we pay and I decline to go
Have a big Xmas party - which we pay a token amount to, not worth going to as it is "enforced" fun.
Don't get and wouldn't expect a bonus.
When I worked in a Bank we used to get a Xmas Shopping day off. Good for hangoversWe all evolve - get on with it0 -

It's a real shame NHS workers don't get a bonus of any kind at all when you all do such a fantastic job! Bout time the government thought about treating NHS workers better IMO0 -
In the past few years I've had -
For 2000 - a pack of beer (worked for a brewery) which was terrible. As a student I drank anything, but had to give this to the halls of residance porters as it was so rank. Seems that drank ANYTHING!
In my current job over the years I have - branded pen set that immediately fell apart; branded diary, and for last years christmas extravaganza, we all got a selection box! Oh yeah! To be fair though, last year we got £25 per head to go out to dinner (had to claim it back from expenses though  ).
I got all my team a bottle of wine out of my own pocket last year. Mmm, maybe they should promote me to chief exec?0 -
There's some tight fisted bosses out there, my DH & I are area managers for Betterware and have 30 self employed distributors working in our team every year for the last 10 years we have given them gifts, hampers, vouchers, booze, cash, the list is endless, we gave them their Christmas dinner all wrapped up in a box cool bag {to keep the turkey cold} last year, this year will be individual presents - all bought thinking about each person whom is to recieve it & sweets for the children, it dosnt cost a lot to say thank you, we get it back every week when their out walking the streets in all weathers it's just our way of saying thanks for all their hard work, over the year or however long they've worked for us. We usually get some cash from head office to go towards a regional Christmas party, of which we all get very merry & have a good laugh/sing song/dance etc.0

A Bargain is only a bargain if you need it!0 -
We usually get a nice gift wine or champagne, a decent party with free drinks and live entertainment, one year it was Liberty X, and they pay for transport/hotels as necessary.
I also get invited to customers parties so that week leading up to Christmas is pretty busy.0
