Hey - I am a sole emplyee so work on the office on my own. Perhaps we could have a virtual Christmas party on here! Pick a date and time (maybe something like 12noon on 20th December) and lets all sit in our offices / places of work with a blower, Christmas hat, glass of whatever we fancy and a mince pie lol!0 -

As a council we don't get anything monetary or gift wise as I think council tax payers may have something to say about that! But we do all get an extra day's holiday either on the 23rd, Christmas Eve or the 27th depending on when Christmas Day is, which isn't so bad I suppose!
Our line manager last year got us a bottle of wine each, but she's no longer here and I don't think our new manager is as generous!Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts

In fact I have over exaggerated - it's not even one in a box it's one in a packet :rotfl: :rotfl:
There is also a Christmas party with (I think) two free drinks, buffet and raffle. I have never been as it's usually held somewhere where the drinks are ridiculous prices and then there is the hassle of getting home from the centre of town (which is about 25 miles away).
My work is open 365 days of the year so any days off are taken from annual leave.
I work for one of the world's biggest banks.
My hubby works for a smallish local company. He usually gets £100, a turkey and 2 weeks off.
Last year he also got laid off for 6 weeks. Not a great start to the New Year.0 -
