  • Have worked for my employers for 11 1/2 years, no bonus, bottle of wine, xmas meal or thank you!

Actually, we did have one meal but were not told it was paid for until the end of the meal, this was because the boss did not want people to come just because it was paid for!!?? (Why else would we go!!)

  • What does everyone get from work for a xmas bonus? We get a £20.00 gift card, a double discount day where we get 20% off of selected items which is useful for xmas presents, a floating days holiday & a xmas meal, plus £5.00 off the xmas party. Not bad but I bet others can beat it!
So you work for Asda too then?
When it comes to thought, some people stop at nothing.........

Nothing. Nada. Zilch. This is despite the company making an awful lot more money this year than last year. Oh I forgot, there were no pay rises this year 'the company can't afford them, there just isn't the money'. Do they forget they actually give us a financial update every day, we can see how revenue and profit have risen over the last year!!!!

OH gets nothing and a holiday ban for December, only day they close is Xmas day.

    Lucky, ain't we.
  • I'm another NHS girl. Work nights and am doing Boxing Night and New Years Eve of the bank holidays and not sure what in between 'coz my boss is dragging her feet about putting the rota out. She tried putting me on Xmas Eve but I went a bit bonkers, have got a 2 year old and a 4 year old so want to be there xmas eve to do stockings and stuff. Fortunately, she relented and swapped it round. Don't care about new year so am happy to work but feel sorry for hubby stuck at home with the kids when everyone else is out partying!

A friend of mine who works for a charity got £1500 bonus last year .... he hadn't even been working there a year .... reason .... 'cos he actually did work .... when they got his case figures in .... previous employee and other staff averaged 14 to 24max cases/month ... his average .... 75/month that was over 4 days a week too!

Someone else I know got a £2000 bonus last christmas ... she only started working there in October of that year .... again, Bonus was performance related .... she did do well seeing as she was promoted 3 times in just 2 weeks:rotfl: .. that was her first proper job too :D

O/H gets vouchers can't remember exact figure but it is over £150 ... helps with Xmas spending:D then either Christmas eve/day or New years eve/day off paid.

Moi! Never fussed so what I did get was a nice bonus :D used to get a selection box (would then be given to friends Gran who loves them) and buffet at work. Then got £10 voucher (would be given to childminder as an additional bonus gift:D) and buffet at work ... not sure what will happen this year .... got Xmas dinner out and childcare paid for so I'd be very surprised if I do get a voucher this year :)
I can say whatever I like here ... 'cos no one can see me .. ner ner ner ner ner !!!....

How do you know I ain't sitting here butt naked?!?!

I thunk I've made you think for a minute!
    :j :rotfl: :j
