Hi
I just called them again today and they promise they have sent a full response letter on the 18th, yesterday. Apparantly it will take 10 days to arrive. I don't live far away from where they send out letters from so thats interesting.
Anyway I will let you know if and when I do get a letter. Good luck to you guys hope nobody is left waiting too long

If I were you I would e mail them via the Online Banking, you will get a response normally that same day, that's how I first found out my claim had been rejected. I have had a bad game with HSBC but you might be ok, it;s a lottery with these banks. The FOS seemed pretty fed up with the banks also, saying she couldn't understand why they pay some out and not others.
Lou - Agree with you wholeheartedly, when you are in debt, like I was (&still am!) you simply have no chance of getting out of it, or trying to do something, when the banks just take your money like that, it's disgusting & someone ought to do something. At the mo, I've left my HSBC in overdraft, as I have to live and pay bills, and opened another account. There quick enough letting me know I owe them - I sent a letter back saying to take it out of the money they owe me and give me the rest!!!:pOne week in 2003 I had £350 taken out!! You have no chance, once you've started on charges like that you can guarentee you will then incur them every week and month then. It was so bad at one point I tried to do myself in (ok know thank goodness) but you Banks out there, I hope you like stories like that on your consious!
THE BANKS HAVE BEEN RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING THIS NATION IN DEBT AND IT'S DISGRACEFUL, IT'S TOTALLY DISGUSTING YOU HAVE MADE MONEY OUT OF PEOPLE WHO ARE IN DEBT AND DESPERATE.
I feel like Winston Churchill fighting them in the trenches! But needs to be said, and they need to do something.
Off my soapbox now

Hi, could someone please advise me of what i should do, i have filed the claim with moneywise to take the Alliance and Leicester to court, i have received a letter from them and thier solicitors saying they intend to defend the claim. I am claiming £1137.48 including interest and to date have only been offered £177.00 plus £120.00 court fees. I am more than happy to settle out of court for a more realistic amount of money. Does anyone know how i should do this ie, through the bank, through the solicitor, by phone, by letter or should i wait and see if the solicitors contact me. would be gratefull of any help! thanks.0

I have today emailed 'hearings@cardiff.countycourt.gsi.gov.uk' with the following. If anyone else is in a similar situation and wants to do the same to Cardiff or any other court, please feel free to cut and paste to your hearts content. I'll keep you posted......
Hi Buzz,
Im in Cardiff Court the same day. Letter sounds good, be very interesting to see what they respond with. Its gotta be worth a shot...I've been hoping that the courts will ask HSBC to show cases which have not been settled before courtbut still nothing from DG or court. DG are useless, ive sent them my list of charges twice with a nudge and also an email and a phone message, still nothing! I give up! Just gonna keep on waiting and hope the postie brings me something juicy!
Good luck and let us know how you get on with the court letter!0 -
MUPPETS
They are really, really starting annoy me.
First of all requested a copy of all my 6years of bank statements, middle of March, and still waiting for them to arrive.
But, anyway printed them off the internet myself.
Sent my first letter middle May requesting MY money back, recieved a letter within days saying they are looking into it.
Sent my second letter beginning June, and still waiting for reply.
Even tho' it has now been 5 weeks, my girlfiend has claimed back from the Halifax and they have settled within 3 weeks.
I know that the banks are reluctant to let anyone know how much it does actualy cost the banks for US going over drawn, but can we request this information under the freedom of information act?0 -

Re: Case No. *******
I am one of the many claiming for repayment of bank charges from HSBC bank.
I am aware that HSBC are no doubt inundated with these claims at present, however I considered that a small claim via the MoneyClaimOnline facility was the only way to ensure that HSBC took my claim seriously, and made any
Buzz
