  • Hi

    LBA is Letter Before Action.

  • Thank you so much for that like I said a bit thick!!! Will write the next letter tonight ready for posting tomorrow!!
  • Oh yeah, makes sense now!! Ha ha!!:rotfl:
  • Hi everyone

I'm part way through a slightly complicated claim against HSBC, which they've defended.

The deadline for the return of the allocation questionnaire was 31 Jan. I phoned the Court this morning and they said that they received it from me on 26 Jan. The man I spoke to couldn't really help me because he dealt with insolvencies rather than this type of claim.

I just wondered if it is usually so slow? I realise there's probably a lot of these cases going through the Courts at the moment, but even so.

From your experiences, when do HSBC tend to get in touch again? Do they wait until a date has been set or just before a court date?

    Thanks in advance,

    Clare
  • I have just recieved a letter from HSBC**NTS telling me all my statements are on the way. Well that was a few days ago and they said the things would arrive in batches. None yet. My guess is that they will play for the ful 40 days. Hey ho. I'll take it to the bitter/sweet end.

    Help please!

I too have just received Notice that Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, stating that they intend to defend all of the claim. No questionnaire though - when do I get one of those? Can somebody advise Puddin' and I? Also it's for Northampton County Court - I live in Yorkshire! Is there any way I can get the venue changed should I end up having to go to court?
Sorry to be a pain, but I'm getting a bit panicky
As much as Puddin' seems to be.

Sorry to bump this, but not had a response and am rather anxious about the whole thing.

I'm a bit further down the line than you. Proceedings will now be transferred to your local County Court who will send you out an allocation questionnaire to fill in. It's quite simple and there's guidance on this website.

I sent mine back on 26 Jan and still haven't heard anything, although I know they've received it so it doesn't happen very quickly from here.

    Good luck,

  • Hi I hope I havnt butted in on anyones thread but if I have I am sorry.

I had a letter from the county court saying that the defendant has not submitted some info and if they dont the case will be thrown out does this mean i win by default? If so how do i go about getting my money back?

Any help I would be really gratefull for.
