Well I bought the Teco one, and am very pleased with it...if you go through quidco another 8quid off as well.

I assume you went through Techfever?

I noticed that SVP are also selling Teco but:

    a) out of stock and,
    b) no prices listed yet.

    Anyone know?

Yes, although they messed up my order the first time, they *found* one on the Friday and I had it del on the Mon.

  • Wow..price on Techfever has gone up again. Now they've got 74 in stock and it will cost you £422 odd plus delivery for one of these babies. Glad I bought mine early! I got my stand from Aria and bloody nice it is, too!
In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

  • I'm looking for a tv and after looking at this thread and a few others on Digital Spy and AV Forums I'm really unsure of what to go for (some of the threads are massive!).

So far (!) there's three choices

    - The Mirai/Teco look to me pretty much the same tv and both seem well regarded but cost that bit more (I've looked at Pixmania, Aria, Play, DirectTVs, SVP and Microdirect.

    - The Aldi one looks decent, has a 3 year guarantee but is as yet untried.

    - The 32" Acoustic Solutions one that Argos are doing.

I'd be stretching myself financially to get the Aldi or Argos one, even more so for the Mirai/Teco.

Any advice or ideas what others are doing? One thing I do know is that if there are only a few of the Tevions in store in Aldi, then they will all be gone within a minute of opening.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

What about the £399 Woolworths 32" Technovision/Thompson? Picking mine up in store next week. Almost considering buying the Aldi one on Thursday, "just in case" and then cancelling the Wollies one!

Actually, the original price a few weeks back I believe was £343 ex VAT.

With this new stock it went up to £365 ex VAT.

Now it's down a bit to £359.58 ex VAT.

Can't seem to make up their minds!

Which stand did you end up getting and how much?

If you buy from Argos apply for their argos card (immediate decision online) and you can have 9 months 0% on orders over £295, I did this when I bought my sofa & DVD/HDD/VHS recorder. I just divided the total amount ie. £400 divided by 9 = £44, and put that amount in a interest earing account each month. By the time the 0% ends you'll have the amount ready to pay, plus a bit of interest. And if you open a alliance & Leicester Account to put it in you could earn £50 towards it. PM me for more info & I'll refer you. (We both get £50 then)

  • For anyone who is thinking of buying the tv from Aldi I know for a fact my local store will only have 3 of these in for Thursday morning

Anyone buying this TV today - please enlighten those of us who may still be considering it, what you reckon to it.

    Thanks! :)

  • Queued for this from 7 am. Aldi had 13 available. Store Manager gave out tickets until all were accounted for. Lots of disappointed people turned up by 9.
Just got it home and tuned in. Really easy to tune and worked straight away from my digital HDD recorder bought from Aldi this time last year. I haven’t had time to test my DVD and VHS or connect to PC yet but I’m very pleased so far.
