Premium Xbox 360 under £200 !!

With the Wii launching, MS are highly likely to drop the price. The core system is likely to go down to the wii price at least £179.99.... though possibly a bit less as that includes Wii sports. And the premium is likely to come down by the same amount £20 or so).~Diminutive0

Quidco is tracking as well.
Nice one! Really looking forward to receiving mine... The saving makes the anticipation so much sweeter.0 -

By the time you receive your XBOX 360 from GU the imminent price reduction will have been actioned and it would have been cheaper to buy it at Currys or Comet.
Microsoft are due to slash the price of XBOX 360's any time now.
Why would they announce such news? "Don't buy an xbox 360 now, because we'll lower the price soon." They will announce the price drop when it happens & not before.

suggests Microsoft have no plans to lower the price yet.
I'm subscribed to quite a few european xbox & gaming RSS feeds and haven't read anything re: price drops. Do you have a link?
When they dro pthe price it will probably be to a round(ish) figure... I'd guess around £250 for the full console, or alternatively offer new bundles with games/hardware.. but I doubt it will drop much more before the PS3 arrives.
At the moment their only competition is the Wii, which doesn't offer true High Def gaming (although looks a lot of fun!)
Old Mr. Gates did state there would be an annual price drop (to stay ahead of Sony) so if you want to wait another couple of years then you can prob pick up a 360 for £100.
This is the best deal I have found for the current prices.0 -

Still waiting to ensure that 20% discount 1st order applied & I'll be well happy!
Have got confirmation today that my order has been confirmed at £175.20 (originally £219), already tracked via Quidco £17.52, making £157.68 PLUS 10% cashback via GUS=£17.52, making a grand total price of £140.16!!
Well Happy
Big thanks again to OP:beer:0 -

Also, sorry to be a pain how does Quidco work? Do you have to reach a minimum payout level, is it similar to Rpoints? (I have an account with them but not Quidco. rpoints give 6% back)
Hiya Kzlnd,
You can set the minimum payout level in 'My Settings' of the Quidco account, but there is an annual £5 admin charge (deducted from 'earnings') - the % cashback is generally higher than Rpoints, but unless you use it a lot then it all evens out & you may as well stick with Rpoints.
I've only recently started using Quidco and have over £50 tracked thanks doing to my xmas shopping on the net (although not all of that is validated yet)
Check this link out for more info (but note you can get cashback via Paypal & Bacs now!)

How does this sound?
Microsoft Xbox 360 Full System + Prey + Oblivion + Oblivion Guide + Extra Wireless Controller
429
less 20% = 343
less 10% commission = £308
deduct 8% quidco (from full 343? =£27.44)
Net cost= £280.56
Have I got that right?
I can't find a price comparison for a similar packagede do-do-do, de dar-dar-dar0 -

Quidco tracked at 10% for me, calculated at the discounted price (full price less 20%)0 -

Well, the rrp for the 360 is around £280, so effectively you get the rest for free!
(games approx £40 each, controller £30, guide £?)0 -

You are right - Quidco show cashback as 8%, but it's 10% if you deduct the 20% discount.
ie. 10% of 80% = 8% (of full price)
We'll have to wait & see whether GU actually pay the 8% of full price or 8% of the reduced price (currently tracking at 8% of full price)0 -
I went via rpoints @ 6% Which doesn't start tracking yet.. but I know I won't continue to use Quidco so the 6% is good enough for me
I've received 2 confirmation emails from GU (with a delivery within 4 weeks  It moved from 3 to 4 weeks, bit concerned hope it will arrive before then - assuming GU process my order.)
No mention of any price reduction or discounts on my emails, but I'll speak to them tomorrow, if after checking my account online it's no different.
Fingers Crossed! Thanks for the help all :T :j :TThe £2.00 Coin Savers Club = approx £22.00  :j.. The 20p Savers Club = £17.80.
