I might go for this :o

Is it the 'Xbox 360 Full system + Pro Evolution 6 + Live kit £359.00' that you went for?

I don't have a clue about the 360, is this one the full system? Meaning, I wouldn't need anything else in order to play the Pro Evo game? :o I was wanting to buy the bf this for Christmas :) :rotfl:

Also, sorry to be a pain how does Quidco work? Do you have to reach a minimum payout level, is it similar to Rpoints? (I have an account with them but not Quidco. rpoints give 6% back) :o:D
    The £2.00 Coin Savers Club = approx £22.00  :j.. The 20p Savers Club = £17.80.

  • Kzlnd, Yes this is the full version the main differences between this and the core pack are in this one you get a 20g Hard drive that you can put songs etc on and save games and you have a wireless controller instead of hard wired and also headphones.

The pack says it comes with a Live kit, now there are Pro Evolution packages out at the moment that give you a 2 day trial Xbox Live ( the online community) but this suggest it is a 12 months subscription (about £30-40's worth)

Ive never used Quidco before but once they start trakcing your order, it takes about 2 months for thewm to retrieve the money from GU and then you can either have it Paypalled to you or sent by BACS. fairly simple.

I made it out that I am getting £310 worth of goods for £244, and I can pay over 40 weeks interest free.
  • Have you not read the news?

By the time you receive your XBOX 360 from GU the imminent price reduction will have been actioned and it would have been cheaper to buy it at Currys or Comet.

Microsoft are due to slash the price of XBOX 360's any time now.

    Where is the news article?

I wouldn't have thought Microsoft would need to slash the price yet seeing as the PS3 is delayed, plus the core version is only about £20 more than what the wii is at launch.
  • Im quite happy to pay £244 fro an Xbox 360 premium, Pro Evo 6 and a years Subscription to Xbox live, and have 40 weeks to pay it off.

There is not a chance that Microsoft are going to reduce the price before Xmas and when they do it will not be by a great amount as the Xbox 360 and PS3 are in different price categories anyway.

Originaly the PS2 was £280, I know I bought one, now there £80, if you wait long enough for anything it will come down in price, its finding the balance over Price/Requirement.

This is the level for me to go in at.
  • Stratford its 20% off your 1st order, whether you pay by account or debit card.

To be safe I would buy on account 20/40 weeks then when the bill comes through, pay off in one go if thats what you want.

I placed an order last night and not heard anything back.

Just tried calling and they say I'm not on the system yet and should wait another 24 hours.

No idea now whether its gone through or not.

These are just rumours. It's likely that the price drop won't happen until next year because the Xbox is going to be changed slightly under the lid. It will not effect it's performance but it will reduce manufacturing costs. So by the time the PS3 is released in Europe I would expect the 360 to get a fairly decent price reduction of about £50.
