Not going to overpay in Dec / Jan in case my gas boiler packs up or there's a problem with the car...
Will find it difficult not to OP: it's almost like a compulsive obsessive thing now!0 -
Hiya Patrick, maybe pay a fiver, so that you still know you have done something? Our kids both went to state school, and I have utmost respect for teachers. It's a job I could not do, as I would probably be in prison.
Good luck and we can provide a little moral support to each other. Although our numbers may be different, the like mindedness is what matters I think. Roll on March 2017 when we will be MF

I thought it would easy to ignore overpaying the mortgage for a couple of months... not so...
I'm going to make sure I have savings of at least £2500 stashed away and overpay anything extra at the end of the month!0 -
Will OP £2500 on Wednesday...
Can't be arsed to find out exact figure I owe now, probably £24, 300 ish0 -

£23,217 left according to First Direct (over the phone this morning). But recently received a letter stating the 'Total to pay' figure may be slightly understated from them, so not sure now!0

Want to live closer to work so that I can cycle / bus in each day... will make it reality within next 2-3 years0 -
£22,680 to go...
Flat in my block has just been put on the market for £84,950 and the owner has done it up very well... but I reckon it's at least £10,000 over-valued! Obviously, hope they achieve a good price because that has a knock-on effect and might tempt me to move sooner rather than later... However, I think that reality will bite hard and that they will discover that there will be no interest whatsoever at the current price...0
