There are so many inspirational savers on here, many thanks for kind replies

Down to 32544.99 (ish) now: mortgage provider now reluctant to provide exact figure over the phone...

Will be able to overpay even more next month, as just been paid for doing 'one to one' tuition in Maths.

Applied to write content for 'I am Learning' website, but they only need KS3 / KS4 content at the moment: a good money making opportunity for any secondary school teachers out there!

Have also applied to Pueblo Ingles for a 'holiday' on the cheap in August - basically sitting around in a lovely setting and helping Spanish people to learn English. Not much free time provided, but would be a good change of scene if I am accepted.

Hi - am going to sell some unwanted CDs online...

Anyone recommend a company they've done this with? Found 'Music Magpie' through Googling, but it has very mixed feedback!

That target of £27,000 at the end of the year is definitely achievable.
  • 250 OP on Friday...

Am off to Spain for cheap holiday on Thurs (just 8 days) - teaching English there, organised through 'Pueblo Ingles'. Glad I organised it now because I don't think we'll get any more decent sun here before the school holiday ends.
  • Great time in Spain - would recommend Pueblo Ingles to anyone (without kids!) who wants a fun, cheap & inspirational time.

Will go through the magic £30,000 mortgage debt barrier tomorrow :)
  • £29,375.23 now... (although woman on phone at First Direct initially told me it was £293,752.30!!!)

I read a lot of other people's diaries but don't post: there are some really inspirational folk out there  I particualarly admire those sensible folk in their 20s who want to be mortgage free a.s.a.p.

Well done Patrick, you're really making great progress :T
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)
