Just whizzed through your diary, you are doing really well. I can't agree more about pay and conditions for teachers. I also am overpaying with the view that if things get really bad I can walk or go part time. There will be plenty of tutoring work around to make up for the shortcomings caused by demoralised and demotivated academy teachers!Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -

Just phoned up Virgin media to get standalone broadband cost reduced: very friendly and reasonable service.
Will now pay £15.50 for 10mB (will double to 20mB for same service in Oct). Was paying far too much - £22.50/ month! So just saved £7 / month with a phone call.0 -
Exact figure left: £19,824.45 (plus 'exit fee' - don't know how much that will be...)
Looking back at original post, I thought I'd move to a bigger flat in Spring / Summer 2015 - I now think i can do it a year earlier0 -

Car passed MOT this morning so was able to chuck money I expected to go on repairs at the mortgage instead.
Use local council MOT test centre for 1st time: am kicking myself for not using it before (I've no doubt I've been fleeced at garages over the years). Oh well, you live and learn!0 -

Well done :jA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
