What is the cheapest item to get with the skinnie? have 2 vouchers and no idea what to use them on!!:rotfl:
Thanks!
There are some Sanctuary and Time Delay items around the £7-8 mark that would be cheap with the skinnie... have a browse and see what takes your fancy.
I got the Rose Bud lipstick (a lovely pink that sort of stains your lips... I put lip butter over it and it looks gorge), and also a couple of nude colours (one was called Lotus IIRC). They have lots of colours to choose from! I also got lots of clear mascara as mum and I use it to tidy up our eyebrows, so that'll keep us going for a while! You can use the £2 coupon on any brand but only NC is under £2 as far as I know, oh I love a freebie.

Well, really impressed witj JF 3 day, used for the first time this am, have walked the dog in the drizzle and am still smooth and sleek (well my hair at least).
Off to Boots in a mo, if anyone has this months RED mag (the one witht he 25 quid off at Hobbs, I have just had a read of mine and a coupon for 200 points when buying Max Factor Xperience product is included, handy for me as had to scrape out the bottom of tube this am. Is valid until 30/4/11. So for the cost of 2 mags now have 50 quid to spend in Hobbs and 400 points.0 -
I took the receipt over to them last week, made no difference. In fact may have made things worse. I was refunded 6pound more than i paid for the item, not sure why? Unless it was on offer or it could be because the vat has changed? I hadn't realised this at the time. I gave my ad card so that the points could be removed etc. Seemed very straightforward at the time. I origonally paid for the epilater with my love 2 shop vouchers i saved all year for so i knew i could only get a boots giftcard refund anyway. The cps willl now decide what happens from here after their investigation.
Until it happens you cant say how you will react. The security man acted like a police man and i was literally shaking. He took everything from my bag. They still have it all as 'evidence'.
I have spent many hours last week on the internet reading many smilar stories, the security men are called Loss Prevention Officers. (lp's for short)
I have never been in trouble with the police before- its horrible.
BTW- i declined a solicitor at the holding suite. I felt strongly that i could simply explain and in a weird kind of way thought that asking for a solicitor would make me seem guilty?? BIG MISTAKE apparently- everything i have read on the internet after what happened says ALWAYS HAVE THE FREE SOLICITOR.
I have one now, he will be at my bail hearing in May.:happylove

Enough deodorant to last 5 years - when I get a good coupon from the ACM I press print over and over very quickly so I get as many as poss! I managed to print about 15 of each coupon (deo, 25% and 1/3 off shmpoo, 1/3 off shower gel, £2 off lippie/mascara, 200pts wys £15 on facial skincare etc etc) lol. This is a tip I learned from the Bootsers on here - I used to print only one of each!!
How do you manage that? I can never print more than 3 before the offer disappears! Also, I'm sick of my other offers - it seems to be forever that I have cat flea collar, vitamins etc. - things I've never bought. Never seen any make up or anything useful on my offers for months, despite spending over £100 on Gok and other 'beauty' offers!“Rain drops are not the ones who bring the clouds.”0 -
i never get dove coupons from that darn advantage machine BOOOOOOOO!!!0

I was arrested last friday and banned from boots pending further enquiries. This was for returning and item without a receipt, the SA refunded it onto a giftcard. 10 seconds later the security man asked me to go the office, he rang the police and I was arrested on suspision of refund fraud. 6 hours 10 minutes in a cell and then bailed until early May. After many hours researching on the internet it seems this is a common crime, people shoplift stuff and then return it to stores for credit. I'm hoping that my advanage card will be able to prove I bought the item through transaction history? Sad thing is I had the receipt at home in my other bag.
Antway- point is dont try and be clever with the machine. Its not worth it.
I have an online order waiting to be collected, another mermaid dreams set but i cant go instore anymore:(
Oh you poor thing, I felt sick for you at sick at Boots when I was reading it - but you are right in your later post - I have heard of other cases similar.
I can't see how they can prove any intent here but it's still going to be massively stressful for you. Big hugs to you and thanks for the advise you shared for anyone else getting into this situation to get a solicitor. Please do let us know how you get along.Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -

This is really horrible! I have gone into boots for an exchange without the receipt before but I think I'll be afraid to in future! They obviously don't just check the transactions on your Boots card to see it's there.
Also, is there more to the story in your case? Is there a history of rudeness toward you at this store? Like, did you use a lot of coupons and do multiple purchases in this store over time, getting to where they followed you around whenever you came in? They still have no right to treat you badly, but I think it would help others to know how it happened, if it results from staff being suspicious of your bootsing habits.
Lots of Bootsers get so known in their local stores that the staff either get very friendly and know you by name, or else they get very suspicious and wonder what you're up to. And once you're in the latter category, they sometimes get very nasty indeed (based on the awful experiences a few people have posted on mse).0 -

I agree. Some of the SAs in my local are lovely but most of them are not, and they do seem to recognise me if I've been in lots of times in a short period. I have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of though, so I will keep going there!
I agree with you about being afraid to return something without a receipt though after hearing this horror story. :eek:Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs
