would like to add another deal.
Oil of olay has a 2 for £10 deal that will end on monday, it covers most of it's range.
I currently use the moisuriser with a hint of max factor foundation - usual cost £10.20
so it's cheaper for me to buy 2 for £10 !!!
    bargain x

so i'm being thick but how did you get the free mascara's and lippies???? and whats a skinnie?

also how did you manage to buy enough deodrant to last 5yrs??! The machines only let you print off a couple of vouchers at a time.

I borrowed my sisters advantage card-practically begged her as mine has been stuck on the same totally crap offer for the last month even though i've spent a couple of hundred in the sale.
SHE HAD THE DOVE OFFER!!!!!!!!!!! HAPPY DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was so funny I never really use th SS tills so got a bit stuck with what to do with the voucher, a male SA came to help me and he was so gobsmacked that I was buying the deodrant for 28p, he went twice to the shelf then to a manger to check, I wished I'd never asked him for help! He let me put them through anyway. Did 4 then went to print off some more and he followed me when I scurried to the tills on the other side of the store, I bought 2 Radox tea infusions as well -the SA there was very nice and put them all through seperately, she was amazed at the price and said she would be checking her own advantage card offers before closing! She wouldn't let me pay with points though.

What i did find at the SS till is that potentially if no-one is watching you could just keep scanning the same coupon for each item purchased? The little hole in the till was full at ours with coupons hanging out, the transaction still goes through whether you post the coupon through the hole or not? has anyone else noticed this and used/tried this without getting into too much trouble.

Also can anyone advise on any more useful shampoo/conditioner offers to use with the vouchers (anyone know how or if the glitch works on 3 for £10 say umbero gianniani), and any good deals to use with the toothpase/mouthwash/toothbrush voucher??

Thanks so much to the original OP, I finally got my dove! I thought I was a money saving queen but you guys are in a whole different league!! lol!

I was arrested last friday and banned from boots pending further enquiries. This was for returning and item without a receipt, the SA refunded it onto a giftcard. 10 seconds later the security man asked me to go the office, he rang the police and I was arrested on suspision of refund fraud. 6 hours 10 minutes in a cell and then bailed until early May. After many hours researching on the internet it seems this is a common crime, people shoplift stuff and then return it to stores for credit. I'm hoping that my advanage card will be able to prove I bought the item through transaction history? Sad thing is I had the receipt at home in my other bag.
Antway- point is dont try and be clever with the machine. Its not worth it.
I have an online order waiting to be collected, another mermaid dreams set but i cant go instore anymore:(

Thats awful! You sound very calm. I would be fuming. Why would they suspect such a thing? They shouldnt allow their refund policy to do returns without a reciept if thats how they behave when you do it. Hope you get it sorted and write them a strongly worded letter. x

If your receipt is at home surely you should take it to the police station as it would be faster than checking advantage card history.

Must have been awful for you.

OMG how terrible for you! I would be livid!

Think you would all see me on telly waving placards outside the store too, i hope that you get this sorted quickly and that Boots are suitably embarrassed.

Well i`ve been down to the local store :D

2x 3 day straight spray, a shower cap and 4x roll on dove invisible deodorant fell into my basket. I`ve just worked out that the deodorant went through at 72p as the shower cap was £2.35 and the total spent was £12.74 sadly not the 28 or 38p in my store but i`m more than happy with my spends. The machine only let me have one voucher for the deodorant offer but there were lots of others available but for things that i wouldn`t buy.

I don`t go to the shop very often - mainly to stock up when something that i need is on offer but i think that i shall pop in a bit more frequently when passing to see what offers the machine has to tempt me :D

    Thanks everyone!

Hi, I'll answer all your questions one at a time. :)

Free lippie and mascara - the ACM is giving out vouchers for £2 off any lipstick or mascara. Since the Natural Collection ones are £1.99, this makes them free! I use one coupon per transaction.

Skinnie - this is the nickname we gave to the £5 skincare vouchers. :rotfl:

Enough deodorant to last 5 years - when I get a good coupon from the ACM I press print over and over very quickly so I get as many as poss! I managed to print about 15 of each coupon (deo, 25% and 1/3 off shmpoo, 1/3 off shower gel, £2 off lippie/mascara, 200pts wys £15 on facial skincare etc etc) lol. This is a tip I learned from the Bootsers on here - I used to print only one of each!! :rotfl:

Scanning one coupon over and over - DO NOT DO THIS. It's one thing being able to play Boots at their own game legitimately - for example, they are the ones giving us the coupons and allowing multiples of each to be printed. But your suggestion would get you into BIG trouble. I would not recommend it. I have seen the SA on the SS tills giving me funny looks the last few days but I can hold my head up high as she has seen me scanning and depositing each and every coupon and, if I were ever stopped and challenged, I have a receipt for every item in my bag and they will find the correct number of coupons in the 'letterbox' with my name on them if they want to open it to check!

    HTH and happy Bootsing!!! :)

Well I paid a trip last night, and explained the basics that I know of Bootsing to my dad, who now has his own advantage card :)

    .......

Also Dove bodywash was on offer for £1 instead of £2.09. From recommendations on the skinnie voucher thread I bought Time Delay Radiance Booster (think that's the right one anyway!)

Oooh, wonder if this works with the 1.3 off shower gel. Does anyone know? xo

p.s. lol @ your dad, think you have a new Bootsing convert! And hope you like the TD stuff, I love it. :)

OMG how awful, definitely go back and show them your receipt and ask for an apology. It's terrible that people shoplift in the first place, and to try to return the stolen item to the shop for a refund, that's even worse. :(

Agree with those who say that Boots should honour their no-receipt return policy and not try to 'entrap' people in this way. Fair enough if they've SEEN someone stealing something and have it on CCTV, then the same person comes back to return it - they should absolutely prosecute them, but this sounds like random picking on someone.
