Ds lastest trick is running the full length of the front room into the TV.....any advice on that other than sticking my leg out :rotfl:

I know how to fix that one. A low wooden coffee table in front of the tv. Or you could just stick your leg out. Will you video it if you do? Please?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

She can use them fine. Has done for 6 months. When she was a bit younger she was carried down in the morning but I've been explaining for months that she's too heavy and mummy has a poorly back so can't carry her. She accepted this and was happy for us to hold hands instead. It's like a control thing now, I left her up there whinging and she's bumped down on her bottom and is now happily playing.

I think its exactly that, she sounds very much like my best friends dd, who went through a Looooong stage like this, they had all sorts of profesionals involved in the end, it was a control thing with her, and they were taught to completly ignore the bad behaviour, walk away if she wont walk down the stairs, if she wont go in the pushchair walk away and go about your business, do not give her any attention for her bad behaviour, she needs to know that you are top dog and not her. The change in friends dd has been amazing, its almost as if she is relieved that she does not have to be on charge. Give it a try xxxx

    Morning all,

Pouring with rain here, I have my bedding in the wm, will have to drape it around, need to wash dd's uniform too.

Will have to run up to the shop this morning, mum needs a few bits, and cant leave dad at all now.

We have a mini roast for lunch, chicken thighs, with roasties and veg, will do it for 2 ish, want to get out for a walk later on, yesterday OH and I went walking, and came across a sculpture of a giant horses head, so might take dd back to photograph that.

Well done to Mr Tru on the job :T

    Have good days all xx

Well DH has peed me off big time. He has a bad back. But he has managed to go & ref a football match.
I alsi have to go to Morrisons soon.
Have had porridge for breakfast but when I'm fed up I just want to eat cr*p so am going to hjave to be careful at the shop with what I buy.
They all have cottage pie for dinner. I don't eat meat & will have to feed the baby as it's sloppy so dunno what I will have.
Need to to menu plan etc later.
Also when dh is back from his reffing (with his bad back, groaning everytime he moves) I will do the ironing.
Baby has dropped daytime sleep so now I'm falling behind on the housework. I used to get quite a bit done in the 2-3 hours he was in bed.
Need to get baby dressed to take him to the shop.
Take care all, you are all fabulous, I love you all x

Love (((hugs))) & spoons all round...a wooden spoon to Jackieglasgow...WALES...(runs....)

personally as a teacher of 200 children from the age of about 2 up to 16 i can quite catagorically say that girls are much nicer than boys for behaviour!about 1 in 5 boys is good but about 4 out of 5 girls are well behaved HOWEVER, when a girl is bad she is real NAUGHTY and nasty with it!

i was just contemplating starting another inane thread concerning money---as one does here! but maybe the topic is better discussed here amongst'friends'----due to the medicine i take i am always left on the 'downside' of happy ie slightly depressed. i always feel insecure about my finances and i feel in life i will never have enough because of my psychology rather than the truth!--i dont envy other people with money because where i live people dont flaunt wealth but i always feel worried despite on the face of things i am as secure as i can possible make me and my family--short of winning the lottery!--any advice or positive words!

  • No matter how much money you have you will never be happy if you're lonely and have no one who loves you, de1amo. X

I've just spent a lovely hour stirring my soup and reading sidneysmum's diary - its a lovely wee read. :)

thats the trouble -Mrs De daughter and her family really love me --i love the mrs in my way but being slightly depressed doesnt make me the most affable of types(but they are happy with me)--i can be Mr grumpy but they accept that about me--the dysfunctional bit comes from my own family--we argue every time we cross paths! my mother is a coeliac with a long history of untreated depression --she refuses to take the meds!--i can see love being a big part of emotional happiness but why has my family dysfunctionality stayed with me and shows itself as insecurity about money!-all very deep!--i think i might seek out another cbt course that i can do online.
