Laptop wont connect to wireless network- although worked last night?

Hi,
oh well, that's good.
What phone are you on about?0 -
It's an iPhone- normally just connects. It isn't connecting at all to the network today- even right by router.
Strangely- after my last post my laptop has reconnected itself to the network- so maybe it is a signal thing? If it's right next to it, it seems to work now, but loses signal by the time I get downstairs.0 -

If Inssider doesn't pick up ANY wifi connections then I would have thought your router is faulty.Estate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0

To be fair- I may not be using it correctly- I am obviously not an expert (as I'm sure you've gathered). I would have thought it should at least pick up my network. It says no wi-fi interfaces detected in the top right corner, and there is nothing showing on any of the graphs or charts.
It seems my laptop will pick up wireles signal in the same room but not when I move. Signal has never been an issue- it always has 3/4 bars on the strength chart. It still shows as 3/4 downstairs although doesn't stay connected- saying low signal or no response from router.
Looks like I may have to give Belkin a call- I had started to earlier then I got signal again so put phone down before speaking to anyone.0 -
Hi,
could you try moving your router to a middle point, just to see what happens.0 -
Change the channel to something else-it's the quickest and easiest fix to try first. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Yeah have changed channel- now working through all of them. It will connect by router but loses it as soon as I get downstairs.
Have spoken to Belkin, he told me to try all the other channels and call back if still not working. Firmware has been updated and on a previous call she talked me through other things. It will probably need to be escalated to technical team he said.0 -

Not really sure I can as it's connected through PC?0 -
just a thought do you have the option for manual or automatic channel selection on the router, i know for the sons netbook wouldn't connect to the router whilst on automatic channel but fine on manual used something like channel 130
